Pleasantly surprised ....
works great as a roof standoff or a siding standoff. It was more sturdy than I expected. Good value.

Very sturdy but.....
Really made for a traditional ladder. Don't expect it to work with the transformer-style ladders wider on each end. You have to mount it to far from the end of the ladder for this to function.

Had to purchase to accomodate the guy i hired to put on gutter guards for me. Although my house did not change in shape or height he was suddenly unable to finish the job without an additional charge. Fooled him, found this ladder stabilizer for him and it worked great. no excuse for an upcharge and I deducted the cost off his payment. I may be an old lady but I'm no fool. I've done enough home improvements to know there's a tool for every need.
