Nintendo Game Boy AGS-101 Advance SP

Some scratches on top cover part, nothing big. Screen is in near perfect condition, very bright. Overall performs great, happy with this purchase. So confident with seller I purchased another one.

I bought a GBA SP used for $70.00 It came with the system, a case, a leather protection case, an attached Extra battery life pack, and a starter game. The GBA SP Was claimed to be an AGS 101, which it was, in very good condition, more on that later... and have a flawless screen. I am trying to be a hard-core retro gamer, so I checked out some reviews and they all told me that if I want to be retro, this is the right system. I was told that the GBA SP AGS101has a bright backlight, correct, supports GB/GBC Games, correct, and has a long battery life, correct. It IS the right system, but I still feel a bit cheated, even though I'm not. The GBA SP itself had a LOT of scratches on the outside. The paint was worn off ton some of the edges a bit, and the screen is anything BUT flawless. It has many light scratches, but you can only see them in direct sunlight. The extra stuff i got made up for the wear, and I'm thinking of getting a mario Linyn skin protector to cover up the scratches. I got a game called "Tomb Raiders" with the system, but I hate it. I'd sell it, but the procedure is so complex that I think I should just give it to gamestop. The only problem is, though, that gamestop no longer carries GBA games, so I'm SCREWED!! I owned an ags-001, and wanted an ags-101 to be the base for some modding... I spent over $200 and it was indeed a 101, but there are a few minor scratches on the screen. You can't see them while it's running, but if your a perfectionist like me, you know they are there. My own gba sp, ags-001 is 20 years old and not so much as a micro scratch on the screen. It's a clam-shell... I don't know how people manage to scratch them in the first place... I digress, this one cost too much, but it works, and was an ags-101 as promised. 3 stars.
