The Best packaging and flavor

This is some pretty fancy coffee. It comes in a metallic embossed vinyl-sided box enclosed in ribbon and has an olde-style push-button hinged opening at the top. The coffee smells extremely aromatic, which is great. The Mombasa Song flavor states that it has a fruity and malty medium strength profile and I can find no fault with that description. The inner packaging was a little lacking as the inner cover plug came loose in shipping allowing coffee to spill out on opening. However, this took nothing away from the flavor, just a few lost coffee grounds.

I'm not sure I'd gamble on coffee this expensive if it wasn't through the Vine program. That said, I made myself a cup of this using a reusable coffee filter in a Keurig and it was delicious. My next step was to brew using my French Press and the results were similar and equally satisfying. I am a big fan of Michigan cherry coffee, which is why I picked the Mombasa variety. It is similar, but not the same. This coffee tastes fresher and more naturally flavored. The cherry isn't there, but the tartness is. Lastly, the tin isn't nearly as filled as the one in the picture and the way it settled during shipping meant about a tablespoon's worth spilled when I opened the container. It costs enough that I swept it off the counter and used it anyway.
