Magic Tea and Coffee Maker/Infuser - 500ml

Being someone who regularly drinks tea, exclusively from tea bags, I was looking for a cheap way to try out loose tea without going to the fuss of a tea pot or one of those very expensive brewing machines! I didn't really know what to expect from this item, I mainly bought it due to the positive reviews it already had but I have to admit I am very impressed. The operation is simple; add loose tea to the maker, let it brew, then place it on top of your mug or cup. When you place it on top of a mug it operates a basic release mechanism which lets tea flow out of the bottom of the maker. It's a clever idea and you get all the water that's in the maker without having to pour or worry about leaves floating about. It's a very quick flow, only takes a few seconds to empty the container. If like me you own mugs with larger than average rims or with rims that aren't flat, don't worry, you can still use this! With a mug that has a flat, regular size rim you just rest the unit on top and it empties. With the larger or mishapen rims, you just have to hold it over the mug whilst it drains and apply light downward pressure to release the tea. It's not an issue, just something to be aware of. I'd say the unit makes one mug, or two cups of tea, based on the average size of mugs and cups. As it states, that's half a litre. Great for someone like me who's just making a cuppa for myself, but if you're making it for a few people this might not be the best fit. Overall, I cannot thing of a single flaw. It is just that good, great value, an excellent way to get into loose tea and a sturdy unit. I've not used it for coffee but I won't be at all so I can't really review that aspect of the unit.

Absolutely great little gadget, pour the lose tea in the top, pour the hot water over and leave to brew. After a few minutes place the infuser over a mug and watch the tea fill your cup. Perfect. This devices uses a special valve system that when the plate at the bottom is pushed up from the mug and weight of the Infuser the water is then able to flow out. It does come with a little coaster to sit the infuser on in case of leaking but I have not found this to be an issue at all. The infuser holds just enough water for one standard UK sized mug - Mines a Crunchie mug from an Easter egg. I like Crunchies - And I think that would be my only gripe, it could be a little bigger to allow for 2 cups but nevertheless it is brilliant. Very easy to wash out, and very easy to use. I found there to be no unsavory taste when first using, nor any unusual chemical smell when I first opened the product. I love this product, and I love tea, so with the ability to start enjoying the world of loose tea I have transcended to Teavana Highly recommended for Tea lovers alike.

I like that this teapot is pretty cute. Simple to use and does work correctly. Four stars are because it does drip sometimes. On a bright side there is a coaster, so no a big deal. And by looking on pictures, I thought I would have a mug as well. Not sure why this silly thought came, but this is how it is. All in all, for the price it is good for making your favourite loose tea!

I originally bought this for my wife as she loves loose leaf tea. The jug holds enough water for two small-medium cups and we tend to put an extra cups worth of tea, brew and 'pour' the first cup and then top up with hot water for that bit extra. You pour the tea by placing the jug on your mug which opens a funnel on the bottom of the jug and releases the tea. It also comes with a coaster to place the jug on so that any drips are caught. Nice touch. The theory behind it is very simple, however the tea it produces is fantastic. Due to how good the tea was, I tried it with ground coffee, ground for a paper filter coffee machine. This product outdoes my machine tenfold. It gets so much more flavour and strength into one cup than the machine as it it brews for longer. It is best used with clear cups as you can see how full the mug is, but you quickly learn to guess how much you usual mug takes. Also due to the simple place and pour design you can just top up you cup as needed. Packaging was good and delivery fast. Great product and seller.

Definitely one of the purchases I don't regret. I was in the T2 tea shop where they demonstrated a similar tea filter and was impressed, so decided to go for it, except I found this slightly cheaper alternative. This thing is awesome, I really like all kinds of tea but lately I've been sick of playing around with the leaves, however this tea maker solved that problem for me. I haven't tried similar tea makers, so can't really compare, but so far my impressions are very good - it makes excellent tea, the filter mesh is fine so you don't really have anything sitting on the bottom of the tea cup, it's dishwasher safe (the top can come off too), and it comes with a coaster to catch that occasional drip. One of my favourite mugs has a rim slightly too wide for this but I just use my fingers to press the bottom of the tea maker to release tea into the cup, so for those worried about their cups being too wide, it's not such a big deal.

I really like this product it's versatile and and easy to wash after use, the only negative thing I would say is that it might be better to warm the magic cup first to maintain the heat.

Awesome product, works very well and looks good, well worth the money. Only reason I didn't give 5 star as it's difficult to see the volume going into the cup

Its great but still leaks sometimes

Très bonne qualité, depuis que je l'ai reçue je me fais beaucoup plus de thé car c'est beaucoup plus simple pour moi. Une cuillère de thé en vrac en de l'eau, attendre et se servir ! Assez grand pour 2 personnes, je dose juste pour un grand mug. C'est vraiment très pratique. Dommage que je n'ai pas connue ça avant. Je recommande vraiment.

Ich habe nach einem Produkt gesucht, mit dem ich eine sehr große Tasse Tee perfekt zubereiten kann und ich bin mit dem MAGIC Teezubereiter in Kombination mit dem "Trendglas Jena 211103 Glastasse / Tasse Office XL mit Henkel, 0,5 l" absolut glücklich geworden. Mit beiden Produkten ist es möglich, 500 ml Tee mit der gewünschten Ziehzeit perfekt zuzubereiten: Da Teeglas und Teezubereiter gleich groß sind (500 ml), schütte ich mit dem Teeglas exakt die Menge Wasser in einen Wasserkocher, mit der der Tee zubereitet wird. Aufgrund der exakt bemessenen Menge ist das Wasser bereits nach kurzer Zeit heiß genug. In dieser kurzen Zeit befülle ich den MAGIC Teezubereiter mit Teeblättern beliebiger Art (zumeist grün) und kippe dann das heiße Wasser darüber. Der Teezubereiter ist dann bis knapp unter die Kante mit Wasser gefüllt und ich rühre das heiße Wasser mit den Teeblättern einmal oder zweimal kurz um. Sobald die gewünschte Ziehzeit erreicht ist, wird der Teezubereiter auf das Teeglas gestellt. Durch das Eigengewicht öffnet ein Mechanismus eine Öffnung am Boden des Teezubereiters und ein satter, gefilterter Strahl heißen Tees ergießt sich in das hitzebeständige Teeglas, das mit perfekt zubereiteten Tees gefüllt wird. Der feinmaschige Filter hält zudem alle Partikel zurück, es sind mit dem Auge keine Schwebteilchen zu erkennen. Die Teeblätter werden entsorgt, die zurückgebliebenen Blätter mit einem Schwung Wasser aus dem Teezubereiter ins Klo gespült. Der Henkel des Teeglases erlaubt es, den Tee mitzunehmen und zu trinken, ohne sich die Finger zu verbrennen. Grüner Tee muss innerhalb von 15 Minuten getrunken werden, damit er seine gesundheitliche Wirkung entfalten kann. Damit entfällt jede Notwendigkeit für doppelwandige Gläser und das Jena-Glas ist das richtige Glas für grünen Tee. Die Lieferung kam einen Tag eher als angekündigt an. Dass der Teezubereiter als Kunststoff ist und nicht aus Glas, stört mich nicht. Das Produkt macht, was es machen soll, und das perfekt und ohne Fehler. Update Januar 2018: Nach einem halben Jahr ist in der Spülmaschine am Deckel eine Halterung abgebrochen. Ich habe hier bei Amazon auf den Rücksendeknopf gedrückt, habe als Beschwerdegrund "nicht spülmaschinenfest" angegeben und der Hersteller hat das Gerät nach ca. 500maligen Gebrauch (180 Tage mal 2-3 Aufgüsse) anstandslos wieder zurückgenommen. Ich habe mir von dem erstatteten Geld den MAGIC II bestellt, der spülmaschinenfest ist. Ich würde dem Hersteller dafür gerne 1 Stern mehr geben. Aber mehr als 5 Sterne gehen leider nicht.

Ottimo prodotto, molto comodo per fare qualsiasi tipo di infusione. Il filtro che ha all'interno ha una maglia molto fine e trattiene tutti i residui anche quelli più fini, oltre a essere rimovibile, per permettere una perfetta pulizia. Il piattino in dotazione è molto utile, anche se devo dire che la valvola alla base per ora tiene in maniera perfetta. Davvero consigliato per chi ama farsi the o tisane!

Cierto que por ese precio no puedes pretender un tacto espectacular pero da bastante igual. El invento funciona perfectamente. No pierde ni gota hasta que no tocas el sistema para que caiga el líquido en la taza. Trae una especie de tapa donde apoyarlo una vez has servido por si gotea algo (cosa que puede suceder). La forma no es del todo redonda con lo que es mas práctico a la hora de guardarlo. El filtro es bueno y no deja pasar ningún poso (cierto es que yo uso tés de hojas algo gruesas y no lo he probado con té muy fino). Como siempre, limpiar los restos no es lo más cómodo del mudno pero se hace bien. A pesar de usar potentes tés negros, no ha amarilleado nada aunque para confirmar este punto habrá que esperar aún un poco. La cantidad de líquido que infusiona es suficiente para un par de tazas normales o para una enorme tipo "cancarro" de desayuno. Lo recomendaría sin duda.

Toller Filter.Endlich die Lösung für den Tee zwischendurch ohne gleich ne Kanne machen zu müssen. Die Reinigung geht auch super einfach. Jetzt bin ich mal auf ne Tasse Kaffee gespannt, das konnte ich noch nicht ausprobieren. Habe den Filter gekauft weil man ja beides darin machen kann.Die Lieferung kam viel schneller als angegeben und es war sehr ordentlich verpackt.
