I’ll start off by saying I know nothing about hernias. This is my second. The first was an abdominal one. Fixed with no issues. This one however is in my groin. I’m really not liking it at all. I wasn’t sure what to look for in a support or what to avoid. I don’t know if I was lucky or if all the supports are like this but it’s helping. It’s still uncomfortable but this brace is some help. It came with 4 removable pads to apply pressure at a specific point. I’m glad they are removable. It was very uncomfortable and a bit painful with the left pad in place. I only needed the pressure on the left as that’s where my hernia is. It got to the point that it seemed to be more painful with this brace than without. I removed the pad and it helped a lot with the pain. The thickness and support without the pad seems to help and not hurt me. Still uncomfortable but the surgery should fix that once it happens. What I’m saying is you will need to adjust the brace to your needs. See if the pads help or not. In my case no extra support from the pad is needed. You may be different. Next is the straps. They are thick and padded. A bit too thick to be really comfortable but for the tension that is needed thinner would be worse. I’ve tried crossing them and not as an old jock strap is. Neither way is better. It just depends on the day I guess. I have my appointment with the surgeon in about a week. Not looking forward to this but at the same time I need this fixed. I hope my explanation helps with your concern and choice. If you are needing one I feel your pain and hope for a fast recovery. I’d give 5 starts if it wasn’t for the feel of the straps but I don’t see how that can be fixed nor do I want to have to use one of these braces long enough for it to be fixed or changed. I had hernia surgery 5+ years ago, but have developed a fatty tissue mass that has become fairly painful. I was taking a lot of pain medication, before I got this. I drive a semi locally and have to deliver and pickup 1-2 pallets at a time with a pallet jack. Usually pretty easy, but sometimes have heavy pallets and also have to use a heavy lift gate, occasionally. The doors on the trailers can be difficult to open and close, too. I have been wearing this for about 4-6 weeks and am usually pain free and pain medication free, too! Use the pads to push in wherever your hernia is bulging out. I also wear some heavy compression shorts over it. Has made my life mostly pain free! I liked it so much that I bought another to wear while cleaning the other. I highly recommend this product!

Excelente material

This is all new to me...but, necessary. No problem getting rigged up & installed. its comfortable, can't see it under, the jeans, or dress pants. The price was fair, as well. Worn it only a few times to-date. Can't give a complete report, due to purchasing this rig, only a week ago. Will let you know in a few weeks or month, after I've been wearing It, a while. So..so far so good. [;<)

Had NO idea these even existed until my surgeon suggested I look for one. This works very well. Having all 3 hernia types at the same time was/is frustrating and this belt and the additional supports has made a world of difference allowing mobility with support.
