Unbelievable quality and value
Extremely impressed with this controller - at a similar price to the official Xbox controllers it is superior in practically every way.The Hall effect sticks and triggers are superb, the mechanical face buttons are incredibly satisfying to click, the build quality is noticeably better than the official controllers, the rubber grips are a nice touch, the included USB-C cable is braided, a generous length, and has a Velcro cable tie attached to it. The wired connection is also incredibly low-latency - easily one of the most responsive controllers Iโve ever used. It even has additional QOL features such as built-in audio controls, and rear-mounted mappable L4 & R4 paddles (although they can only act as a secondary input for the standard Xbox buttons - you canโt map these paddles as individual inputs unfortunately - though this is a limitation of Xinput rather than a design issue). This controller demonstrates a level of quality that even the ยฃ100+ Xbox โProโ controllers from Microsoft hardly come close to - and for less than half the price. And to top it off, you get a month of Xbox Gamepass ultimate included for free - awesome. The only thing I would say is that it unfortunately has no wireless capability, although this is due to Microsoftโs licensing policy rather than Gamesir themselves - so canโt really fault their product for Microsoftโs nonsense.Iโve never used a Gamesir product before, but Iโm thoroughly impressed with this one and it deserves all the praise Iโve seen online - Microsoft could learn a thing or two from these guys. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a step above the official controllersโฆ without even having to pay extra.

5 Stars for sure. Best controller I've ever had. Review edited as even better!
Until hunting for a new controller I had no idea that hall effect sensors were a thing.I was looking to replace yet another victim of stick-drift. I must have lost ten controllers to this since the Xbox 360 came out.I was also looking for a controller with the additional assignable buttons undernetah the controller as they make great gear shifters in racing games. My Turtle Beach React-R was great until stick-drift happened (after 12 months).I'd never heard of GameSir and was skeptical, so I took a look at some YT videos before ordering...... I quickly put the order in as the only "fault" people were stating was that this controller is wired.I actually prefer a wired controller as I play in one place anyway. Batteries are a pain in the arse to me, and an additional expense, even if just charging power. The controller feels great. It didn't feel smaller to me, as some say. The G7 HE is the only one of GameSir's controllers that I consider suited to a grown-up (i.e. Black finish, no silly colours). I didn't like the G7 SE's white and green look. The HE also has a rubberised finish which feels nice all night. As for it's hall effect thumbsticks and triggers - they feel sublime after my last controller. In driving games my throttle and braking has become considerably more precise. The triggers only reach 100% AT 100% trigger, unlike any other controller I'd used. This is something I was able to quickly set up in the simple and free Xbox App. You can completely eliminate any deadzone in there on triggers and sticks. Set it how you like it. You can select "hair trigger" if shooting's your thing.Shooting in GTA just became easier with this controller too. I use free aim and whilst partially depressing the trigger, you will aim the gun without firing (R'n'G), allowing you to run about whilst aiming. Taking the trigger all the way will then fire. On my last controller I was constantly either letting off shots or dropping the gun as I couldn't accurately hold the trigger in "the zone".Finally, something that nobody ever reports on, but I find an essential quality - Sound.Nothing special, nothing nasty. It's just fine and as you'd expect.I have one controller in my cupboard that was barely used because whilst it worked just fine, when talking with others in party chat, my voice came through to others like an old 1950's reording. Tinny and cheap sounding. I'm glad to report that nobody noticed any sound issues in party chat, I sound just fine.I did notice though that using this controller, mic-monitoring was turned on by default, allowing me to partially hear my own voice in the party chat. I hate this, while some choose it. I had to turn off mic-monitoring in the party options. On the whole, this has to be the best controller I've ever used. Including a Razer, which I loved at the time but even that got stick-drift.[EDIT] Since reviewing this, I finally got fed up over the mic-monitoring issue (having to turn it off each time), so I serached for a solution. I only found others with the same issue but no answer, so I decided to try GameSir's customer service. They responded to my email within 24 hrs and included an apology for the 'late' reply with a suggestion to upgrade to the latest driver (v2.4.0). Mine was on v2.3.3 and the app said that this was up to date.Luckily, the customer service response also included manual upgrade instructions, a video and the v2.4.0 firmware update - I was able to do this on PC and it has fixed my issue. In summary, this is an excellent controller. Now with the latest firmware my only issue has been fixed and I had a first class experience with their customer service support. At this price, it's an absolute no-brainer unless you really have an issue with it being a wired controller.

Best controller
Honestly one of the best controllers on the market. There are many things the controller can do such a changing the deadzones on the controller and you can remap basically all the buttons. It also has paddles on the back which are great for racing games and also switching between guns. If youโre looking for a controller that doesnโt break down after one use and is relatively cheap this is the one. A lot people turn their noses to this because it isnโt wireless but with the massive cable which is over 2 meter long it really isnโt a problem.

GOOD Controller but has a flaw
The GameSir G7 HE has been a really solid controller for me overall especially since I mostly play Apex Legends and Call of Duty. The Hall Effect thumbsticks are the standout feature aiming feels smooth, precise, and consistent, with no jitter or deadzone weirdness. Tracking enemies and making small aim adjustments feels easier compared to standard controllers. That said, there is one issue worth mentioning. Using LB for aiming down sights can be problematic as it feels overly sensitive. When holding ADS, the controller sometimes flickers in and out of aiming, almost like the input is being rapidly pressed and released. This can be frustrating in intense fights and may be a deal breaker. Aside from this LB sensitivity issue, the controller performs very well and offers great value for the price. Honestly one of the best controllers Iโve used the wire is no problem and since itโs detachable itโs perfect.

Amazing controller
Love this controller, easy to connect and begin playing and long cable gives me free reign for sitting both at my desk and on the couch. The back buttons aren't lockable and the buttons are a lot softer than the SE counterpart but a great controller overall and the cable, along with the connecter, feels sturdy. If you aren't bothered about the colour I'd go with the SE but this is great if you'd like a black one.

Great value and performance
Bought to use on PC (including XBox PC games). Excellent quality, accurate and responsive. The fact that they include the magnetic sensors to eliminate stick drift at this price is great; makes you wonder why the console manufacturers can't do this as standard by now. And the micro switched buttons, instead of membrane type, are the cherry on top.

Customer Service
Amazing product, had this controller since last year now and I canโt say anything bad about it! I also wanted to give a big shout out to the customer service at Gamesir, really helpful and speedy with everything!

Great controller, terrible wire.
The actual pad itself is great, no issues there, what is the main issue is the wire. I have had this pad for months now and for the past 2 months i have noticed the wire is really poor, i will be sat here playing a game then i might adjust how im seated or move the pad slightly as im holding it and it will disconnect. I cant tell you how many times i have been playing fifa with my friend, and as were on the attack my pad dc's and lose the ball, so if your looking to get this, get a different wire, currently im looking for a different one myself now and thought id let everyone else know too, the pad is great but the wire is awful.Edit: Okay so now, just 20 mins after writing the review, now my pad just wont work... Was formerly a 3 star review, now 1 star. Terrible product cause the wire messes it all up. A shame as the controller felt good, but they cheaped out on the wire and made it designed to be faulty. Do not purchase!!!

Absolute trash in my mailbox!
I am utterly disgusted with the product I received. Made a good day turn into a horrible one. Would rate zero but that is not an option.

Very nice so far, way better than an OEM controller to me (Outstanding Support, Review Updated)
Update: August 19th, 2025:Back in June I started experiencing occasional double-click issues with the A button. At the time I didn't know if it was me or the game I was playing. It was a menu specific issue in just one game and I wasn't able to notice the issue in any other game. I worked around the issue in that game until well into July, but this controller went on sale so I ordered another one. I finally got around to testing the new controller on August 10th and the double-click issue could not be reproduced with the new controller so I contacted support. After sending them a video showing the issue they promptly responded asking where to send the replacement controller. I responded on the 12th and on the 13th they let me know they had requested the seller send me the replacement. That replacement controller was delivered on the 18th! Wow, this is probably the best support experience I've ever had! Due to this I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars.Note: Any product you purchase might fail before it's time. The support you receive when that happens separates the good companies from the bad. This is a good company in my book!---Original Review Below---I have been using this controller on my Windows 11 PC to play Steam games for almost two weeks now and so far I'm satisfied. To me it works very well, has the extra paddles that are a lifesaver, and comes at a somewhat reasonable price.Pros:Hall Effect sticks - Basically the parts that are used to determine where the sticks are located use magnets instead of physical contact so they shouldn't wear out as quickly. The reason I ordered this controller is because I wore out my last controller's left stick in just two years. I hope this one lasts longer.Clickity Click Buttons - These buttons use actual switches instead of membranes to give you a tactile feedback similar to a mechanical keyboard. This gives them a solid feel instead of the mushy feeling of a membrane switch.Paddles that can be mapped - The back paddles are the real deal and make me very happy. So many games require you to press either Left Stick (LS) or Right Stick (RS) repeatedly for things like running or zooming in and it makes my hands hurt. The ability to add a mapping to one of these paddles as an alternate is huge!Quick Change Profiles - Should you need a profile for something special in game you can switch between profiles instantly. Are the paddle mappings getting activated when you don't want them to? Just switch to the default profile until you need them, then switch it back as needed. It's pretty seamless.Cons:Size/shape - For some reason the size and shape of this controller feels off. This causes me some issues when switching back and forth between this controller and the OEM. To me this controller feels a bit small and I don't even have large hands, but I did get used to it in time.Button Placement - The Menu and View buttons are too high up on the controller and cause fumbling when trying to locate them in game. On the OEM controller I can reach these buttons without moving my thumbs up from their natural position, but they are above the tips of my thumbs on this controller so I have to reposition to reach them. Once you get used to them and try playing with an OEM controller you have the issues in the other direction. For the next iteration they should consider only moving these buttons up about 1 or 2 millimeters from the OEM at most, but only if required. Otherwise, make it as close to the OEM as possible to avoid this issue.Cable Port - The Cable port is designed such that the USB cable end gets recessed into the front of the controller. While this limits the amount of connector protruding from the front of your controller and helps to prevent breakage, it also limits interchangeability of cables. The cable that came with my Xbox Series X plugged right in, but the one that came with my Xbox Wireless Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 did not. Don't break that cable, else finding a replacement might prove troubling.Overall, I feel like this is a very good controller so far and I haven't found any reliability or function issues yet. I also downloaded the App to my Xbox Series X and easily configured the controller before attaching it to my PC. I didn't want to install the App on my PC because I already have too many other things installed and it's getting bloated. Even so, the controller functions perfectly without the App installed and that is a huge plus!*Note: The included Game Pass code is only redeemable if you don't already have Game Pass. I do not appreciate this tactic and strongly feel like I am being cheated when I cannot redeem the code included with a product. I mean, I paid the same price for this controller as someone who didn't already have Game Pass. I am not holding GameSir accountable for this though. It's squarely on Microsoft for limiting this code's use.
