This thing is great! You don't have to drill holes to use it! My son put the a/c unit in and it took all of 5 minutes. It's very sturdy, easy to adjust, easy to put together. It looks nice from the outside and there has been no signs of rust thus far. I feel secure knowing that the a/c unit is supported well. My only problem was that new windows in the bedroom have a lip on them so it was a bit of a challenge to get the unit to sit properly with the bracket but we got it. Just had to use some extra of the foam insulation around the bottom. It fit perfectly in the older windows. Initially, I didn't think that it was going to worth the price but it's actually worth every penny.

These brackets are sturdy. The assembly and installation is straightforward although holding both buttons depressed to allow adjustment is a bit tricky it’s not that difficult once you get the hang of it. You will need a level to get the base aligned horizontally. I used these for 6000 Btu dual inverter LG air conditioners. These LG air conditioner units are bulky and fairly heavy and I couldn’t quite imagine installing them in our retrofitted vinyl windows without some kind of more substantial platform than a narrow vinyl window sill. I was going to build a wooden platform for the AC units before I found these brackets so they were a time saver. These brackets made the installation easier and give me peace of mind that the unit isn’t going to fall out of a second story window or place undue stress on the window. They also eliminated the need to drill holes in the vinyl window frame. I placed a 1x2 in the upper sash guide to prevent the window from being opened, the AC sits on the bracket platform and is secured by the window being closed on the raised channel on the top of the AC unit. Simple and secure.

This is very sturdy and was easy to put together. I have no concerns with this supporting my window air conditioner which is on the second floor. With all of the adjustment points, I was able to get the 1/4 inch per foot drop. I highly recommend this. When it arrived, one of the push buttons was not in the ledge rail but was loose. I just removed the end cap and installed it the correct way which was not hard. The only hardware from the air conditioner that I had to install were the two screws that go from the slide curtain into the bottom of the window pane.

I really like this bracket over the one-leg one that I was previously using. This one feels way more sturdy and solid. I don't have to worry about whether my air conditioner is fully supported anymore. However, the design doesn't take into account the horizontal "fin" that a lot of air conditioners have underneath. The fin forms the base of the flexible accordion panels. The fin, when resting on this air conditioner bracket, creates a wide gap underneath the air conditioner. That means you need to get creative with how you are filling that gap. You would think that foam would be a no-brainer, but if you get heavy enough rain, that foam soaks up the rain and starts molding on you. I am experimenting with rubber tubing of various sizes to fill in the gap. I'm not sure whether it is feasible to design an air conditioner support bracket that can accommodate the fin, but whoever can do it would make a ton of money since it would be an improvement on this current design.

Assembled in three minutes, installed in two minutes. Fits my windows perfectly. Very sturdy. I never write reviews, but this was the most straightforward window AC bracket. 10/10

For years we’ve struggled to support our AC on the second floor of our condo. We usually end up balancing it on the tiny ledge of our vinyl window, using a bunch of foam insulation, little nut clips to keep the window down secure (which chews up the vinyl window frame) and white duct tape to make it more secure. We hate the task of getting it set up and taken out each summer. I read the reviews and thought I’d give it a try. I was worried that the support arms wouldn’t fit into the window channel, but found a photo review showing the arms on the inside of the frame, not in the windows sliding channel. The arms width measure just over 3/4 inch, (they’re 13/16 of an inch) which made them slightly too wide for the channel on our windows, which are 3/4” exactly. No sweat! I secured it on the inside of the window frame, as you can see in the pictures. I ended up needing the support legs almost all the way in, 5 slots from the smallest. The hardest part was having to squeeze the pins a million times to slide the brackets to their desired location. If that’s the biggest gripe for this then it’s pretty dang minor, as you don’t need any tools and don’t need to drill into anything. I hated our vinyl windows because of the AC unit issue, but from now on I’ll relish in the ease of setting this up. I haven’t actually put the AC on the support yet (way too early for that in Vermont), but after installing the bracket and pushing a lot of weight on it, I’m 100% positive this will work! Excellent product, innovative, sturdy and so easy to install I almost can’t believe it! If you’re debating this purchase, just buy it! Totally worth the money to have it be this easy!

Love this. Its easy to assemble, works well for smaller ac units and smaller windows but definitrly feels very sturdy and provides great support. Works great. Far superior to my previous bracket. Check dimensions to see if right for you but perfect bracket for me. 5 well deserved stars.

Had originally bought this for our AC and I received it broken, unfortunately this style is the only one we can have for our house so I had to reorder a new one. Second one worked great.

I added a small 2x2cm at the back to stop it sliding. It was not sliding without it but a little extra security will help if it is bumped really hard or there is a cyclone or something.

Very good and sturdy , honestly the best purchased I've done. My a/c is completely out and leveled with this , I recommend 100% worth it.

It is solid as, used it with a kelvinator window ac. Just plonked it on top and duct tape. 10 sec job, love it. Australia.
