Purchased November 13, 2024 First impression was good. -Nicely packed -No blemished in casting -Smooth adjustments and bearings Have yet to test out it's ability to sharpen properly, but will update in future.

I needed one of these to help me maintain the perfect angle for my hand planes and chisels. I can and hace for a long time sharpened them by hand, but this guided system actually makes it way easier. I professionally sharpen knives by hand without guides, but when it comes to hand planes and chisels, I prefer a guide like this just to ensure I am 100% matching the factory grind angle without ANY deviation. When it comes to a precision tool like a hand plane, I don't want even the slightest of mistakes. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on one, as I mentioned, I was doing this by hand without a guide, but it was way slower as I ensured I held my angle each time.. This little guy lets me zip right through it without much thought (once you set it and get used to it) 10 / 10, would recommend, and the price is definitely the deal breaker! It's made of quality parts and I don't think it will break on you.

Diablo mfg in good old 🇺🇸 Well made works well used on my Chisels , Plane Irons.. Considering Purchasing a set of there Chisels ..! I try buy & support US made products as much as possible.

Not made in USA as one reviewer stated. Clearly says made in China on the box. Otherwise a sturdy functional tool
