There’s really nothing like it. If you’ve ever wanted to play with gobos, but you didn’t want to spend the money this is absolutely perfect. The torch is heavy and well made. With tripod mount and very versatile, with plenty of basic controls. It’s super easy to use, good battery life, comes with anything you would need to get started. There’s just a big caveat:: The brightness is not the best, as expected for the price and size of the equipment. You can still get good pictures in low light, you just need to lower your expectations. I originally chose to give it four stars, but really, for the price, I think it’s just perfect for those who can’t afford the expensive setups.

What a great light. Considering it is only 10W, it creates the perfect ambient lighting for levelling up your videos. The included gobos open up so many possibilities to match your video, such has the window gobo which can give the impression of light shining through a window frame. And the colours (white, blue, red and amber) are perfect for this little light. It also has 1/4” thread so it can be mounted to a tripod or magic arm, etc. Build quality is SOLID! I was surprised at the weight of it, with a solid metal build but still light enough to throw into your bag. Very easy to use, twist to turn on, press to cycle through colours and hold to switch off. It also charges via USB C which is a must have in this day.

When the RF10 light launched it was a nice and fun product idea, but the low light-output basically crippled the product in a lot of use cases. This RF 20C version has a much more usable light output as well as lots of small quality of life upgrades e.g. faster charging, narrower beam width etc. My only major gripe with this product (bearing in mind it's a £60 product as of May 2026) is that there's now an active fan that constantly runs at a fixed speed. Even if you run the light at its lowest light-output level, the fan remains at full speed. Unfortunately the fan is pretty noisy. Because this product is tailored for indoor use (due to its relatively low light-output) the fan noise will be a dealbreaker for lots of people. But at the end of the day it's a very affordable product which is why I've only deducted one star. It's also worth noting that the gobo shapes cannot be focussed to full sharpness (although I don't think most people would want that anyway) but apparently there's a screw-on optical focusing attachment in the works that expands the product's capabilities in this area. To summarise: A small, fun, affordable light that will be great option for bedroom creators. But beware the reasonably loud fan noise!

I haven’t used to for anymore than testing right now but very sturdy as you might expect. Easy to use! Very bright and I know it’s going to have an effect on shining it through glass etc. quite light, a good size and a nice backup hair light for portraits.

This is a small light that I think is a great addition to any size set up. The build quality is what I have come to expect from a Smallrig item. Easy to carry, easy use and great value for money.

Amazingly versatile piece of lighting kit. OK, your not going to light a whole set with it but as a fill light or to splash a gobo on a background it is ideal. It's small enough to use as a very bright torch.

Perfect led light

Much larger and heavier than I was expecting although the functionality was fine. The tripod screw attachments on the sides don’t work very well as you can’t reliably tighten the screw against the curved surface. For these reasons I returned the unit, but others may find it perfectly acceptable.

Great versatile light for photo and video. Wish it was a little brighter, but great size and weight, easy to set up, great value for money considering the amount of applications! I love the GOBOs.

This is a fantastic tool. The 10W is already great, but with the 20W version you can actually use the flashlight in lighter environments and against black backgrounds/backdrops. One small, very useful tip I got is that this flashlight has a lower definition when compared to the 10W version, because of the lens. That means that when you use the gobos, it is going to look a bit distorted. The way around that is to remove the lens. You will then get more defined shapes. The 20W version is also a bit noisier than the 10W but if it didn't seem to affect any of our videos and if it ever bothers you, you can easily remove the background noise using an editor. Again: we had no problems with the fan sound, but I wanted to point that out. Aside from that, I am extremely amazed at how powerful this tool is. Don't be afraid to get it, it really is excellent.

Het lampje voelt stevig aan en geeft mooi licht. Het is soms een beetje lastig met de knop, want je draait al snel te vlug, maar dat is echt de enige aanmerking die ik tot dusver heb. Ik gebruik hem voor food fotografie waardoor ik de sluitertijd vrij laag kan zetten i.v.m. de hoeveelheid licht. Ik weet niet hoe dat bij modellen zal gaan.

Surprisingly bright/powerful The gobos and projection images are perhaps a tad gimmicky, but it depends what you want to use it for. Diffuser, colour filters and barn doors are the most useful to me. Good value for the price.
