FY505 Serger Overlock Machine, 2/3/4 Thread Capability | Built-in Rolled Hem, Durable Heavy-Duty Metal Frame, Adjustable Differential Feed

For the price and how much I use it, this machine does everything I need it to do. There is a learning curve though on threading (there’s an electronic guidebook which i printed along with a on machine guide as well). The one thing I found a little confusing was the colored threading guide hooks on the top, but I remedied that with matching color dot stickers to make thread location easier.

Have to say, I was skeptical, but everything came packaged really nicely. Instructions were clear, and I didn’t have to thread it myself, which I was nervous about since I’m a noob! Everything seems to be really solid and I verbally said “stoppp. This is what I was missing?!” When I saw my first super clean seam. Great machine and budget friendly for a beginner!

For the money, this is a decent serger. It is easier to thread the upper and lower bloopers that the Brother I had for 30 years. I was pleasantly surprised. I had it up and running in minutes. With a few adjustments, I had it sewing nicely. I'm pleased with this purchase!

I was returning this item but changed mind. The machine wasn't working because I didnt plug it in correctly. Customer service contacted me and fix the problem. They went out they way to assist me and now I am a very happy customer. The service was excellent very professional. This FY505 serger machine is easy to thread and they have a very detailed video on setting up the machine. I give this service 100%.

I was so excited whenever it came in. Reasonably priced. Was ready to get to work. I have a lot of projects I have to do. Spent a little bit of time. I would say about 30 minutes getting it all set up. If you know, you know over lock machines take a little bit of time . After I did that I literally plugged in the pedal and it just started running. And I mean like I put my foot fully on the pedal I was confused. I pulled out the pedal. Tried to pull it up to see if maybe it was jammed and it wasn't. So I did it again just to make sure it wasn't some type of glitch. In there, it was running at full speed by itself. So to test it out, I put my foot on the pedal. And I could hear it accelerate as if it was like a double engine. I don't know this has been a horrible experience.

Cheaply made, says it’s an “industrial” but that’s a lie because it will NOT serge multiple layers! If you need a serger for quilting this will work but don’t buy it if you’re using it for heavy duty work or you will be VERY disappointed!!!!

Bought this with tremendous intentions of using it for my custom patches, but to be honest, I have not used it at all. It became very time consuming trying to feed the material through the proper loops. It's good quality, but just not what I got to really experience.
