This was being used by the home health nurses assisting my husband so I finally asked what brand it was thinking if professional healthcare staff were using it, it must be good. BINGO. I threw out 5 other almost useless digital thermometers and now have one that actually is simple to use and works all the time. Those point-n-shoot ones are notoriously inaccurate and it’s inconvenient to have to place a sheath on oral thermometers. It cleans quickly with an alcohol prep pad. Would buy it again.

From reading others' reviews, it sounds like some number of customers must have gotten bum units. I bought mine in October 2020 to replace a failing Exergen thermometer because throughout last year I had to measure my daughter's temperature every morning before school and fill out an online form. This little thermometer has given incredibly consistent readings on each of us in the household, and knowing our baseline temps allows us to know when something is wrong. It takes longer to get a reading, and you have to wait before taking a second reading, but to me it's worth that wait. On the other hand, if you need to take a lot of consecutive readings, this probably won't work for you. One thing it's usability score would really benefit from is a backlight. The box mine came in indicated it was manufactured in Israel (LOT 2008-0068). The unit itself doesn't seem to have any information about place of manufacture. The page here on Amazon now (9/2021) states they're made in the USA. I guess it's possible they're pulling them from various factories and maybe the reliability is lower from certain places? Either way, I've been very satisfied with this product.

Easy to use, seems to be very accurate. Be aware that you cannot "instantly" take a second temperature, as the unit holds on to the first reading for a minute, so you can recall it. Powering it off and back on does NOT reset that portion of it, and it will beep repeatedly if you try taking another temperature too soon. I bought two. In one, the supplied batteries lasted just over a week before displaying LO in place of a temp. The other hasn't had much use, though I have another set of alkaline batteries on hand for it, just in case. Overall, it works MUCH better than the other electronic thermometers I've tried. My under-tongue units require repeated cycles to get "up to temp" and be accurate.

Works as it should, it just takes a few seconds to read the temp. Easy to use, and easy to clean.

I've had this thermometer for close to a year now and the readings have always been a bit too high. It's drifting even further upward with my tests today. I've taken 3 different readings and it says that I have an average temperature of 100ºF, which is definitely a fever. I was alarmed, so I cross-checked with an under-the-tongue traditional thermometer that I have, and those readings are normal at 97.5ºF. This thermometer is very easy to use and takes very quick readings, but I would NOT rely on it for precision.

Doesn't work, many errors. I ordered a replacement and it also was inaccurate and making other errors right away. I had this brand previously and it worked for 20 years. Seems the way of the world.

Vorrei dire a coloro che hanno scritto che non è preciso perché con due misurazioni una di seguito all'altra da una lettura diversa: è normale... anche il termometro a mercurio lo fa. Il nostro corpo non ha una temperatura costante durante la giornata ed anche da un minuto all'altro. Quindi che la prima misurazione sia, ad esempio, 36,5°, ,a seconda 36,6°, la terza 36,4° è perfettamente normale. Quindi prima di dire che non funziona o che non è preciso informatevi bene su come funziona la temperatura del corpo umano: non è un corpo inanimato che mantiene la temperatura per un certo periodo.
