Promise 1408 Automatic Zig-Zag Electric Sewing Machine (White), Metal Frame

I emailed them to access the online masterclass but they never replied back. It's been weeks but still waiting for the reply. Machine is good but the marketing gimmick of free class is just pathetic.

My first impression, it is light and compact. Convenient when shifting residence or moving to another city. Don't let this get you you. Its a toy. I bought in June 2023.I've been sewing personal clothing. Today i sewed my first kurta and it troubled the whole day long of pulling the cloth in the plate. I called the customer care they asked me to open the plate below the needle and clean it. I did. But my issue was not resolved. I changed needles from 14-16-18, for sewing cotton batik. It gave big stitch marks and capacity to sew on 2 layer cloth is hopeless. Now everything we sew will have layers. Sometimes maybe a lace. The moment the density of the cloth rises the machine starts pulling the cloth in, crumpling it, clusters of thread will collect. I am scared to sew curtains or pillow covers, the machine cannot take the load. Its maintenance is expensive. The technician will come @550 for every visit. The demo technicians will not show the entire demo in one session and if you buy from Amazon there is no second demo. I have a lot of sewing experience. Best is to buy our traditional tailor models. Though big in size and needs space, they are worth the investment. This was a waste of money. Add on : So finally i managed for a technician to come and check the damage 1. He informed me that if you intend to do jeans work, a setting needs to be done. This was not informed or adjusted on the demo visit and an internal part got damaged - though i has shown him that i intend to do jeans on it.The technician refused to replace it, just rubbed it with sand paper and says it is fixed. I was not charged for the technician visit.since it is in 2 years warranty. But the call centre guy told it will be charged ₹550 per visit. I am not happy with this unit and their after sales service.

I purchased the Singer Promise 1408 Automatic Zig-Zag Electric Sewing Machine on 23rd April 2024, impressed by its 8 built-in stitches, 24 stitch functions, and sturdy metal frame. However, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The machine developed an issue, and I registered a service complaint on 22nd November 2024. As of 28th December 2024, there has been no contact from Singer’s customer service to address the problem. This delay and lack of response are incredibly frustrating. What’s worse is that online buyers are at a disadvantage. If this product had been purchased through a local distributor, the issue could have been resolved much faster. Local sellers often provide prompt support, which is clearly lacking in Singer’s online service process. Pros: Decent features for basic home stitching. Durable metal frame. Cons: Poor product reliability—issues surfaced within 7 months. Extremely poor online customer service—no follow-up for over a month. Better service support is available only through distributors, not online purchases. If you're considering this machine, avoid buying it online. Purchase from a local distributor who can address issues quickly. Until Singer improves its online after-sales service, this product is not worth the hassle. Very disappointed.

I bought this machine 1 year ago, recently I begin to face some minor issues so I thought of calling singer service for the diagnostic. When the engineer came he told me that any part replacement will be chargeable even if it is in warranty. I was surprised to know that. This is the first company that I came to know that charges for parts in warranty. Worst product Thread keep on breaking I contacted customer care but no proper response Better buy from local shops not online

I received the product in a bad shape. With the plastic body not assembled properly. i had to figure it out. The wheel wouldn't turn due to a misalignment. The Amazon customer assistance was terrible. The girl had no clue what she was saying. 10000 is alot of money to let go.

Worst product to use can't stitch even a small piece of cloth the thread cuts for ever 5 stitches the service man s another hell not even listening just wanted to make a scene that he attended the enquiry worst customer service

I got a damaged product from amazon . When I was checking for the first time , it was working . After few days ( 4 days after closing window) the machine got damaged and started to catch cloth and the needle got stuck , started some weird sounds .when I contacted the customer support, they told they can't do anything. This was the worst experience and product from amazon .They delivered a returned product or damaged product to me . Very disappointed with the product and service .

Download the manual when you order it. It doesn't come with the product. My old heavy duty one was being serviced and taking longer than expected. I had stuff to finish so was eagerly awaiting delivery of the upgraded one. I downloaded the manual the day it arrived and stressed myself out regarding the printer instead of zooming off and completing my project. That said I love this machine. But it doesn't like cheap needles so get Singer ones. Worth every penny.

Works well So far so good.
