They stack nicely for storing, but they're usually in use! The small opening on the top allows me to let a little air in for vegetables, and keep air out for fruit. I also love that they're clear, so it reminds all of us to eat fruits and vegetables, and everything stays fresh longer with these. The various sizes are all usable.
