CAP Barbell Rubber Olympic Bumper Plate | Multiple Options/Colors

Rubber weight not much to say. Exactly what I was looking for. Price was great and like the brand. It does stink but it’s rubber so expected

Bought 2x 10 lb plates. They do smell pungent when you open them and they’re a little oily but also they’re weights and I’m not worried about that. 10/10, they do their job.

These bumper plates are excellent, especially for the price. They feel true to their listed weight, are well made, and have held up great through plenty of workouts and being dropped during lifts. They’re durable, dependable, and built to handle regular use. They also have a nice grip, look great in the gym, and offer outstanding value for the money. If you’re looking for quality bumper plates without spending a fortune, I definitely recommend these.

The only downside i have with the CAP weights is they smell like the they were packed up by someone who chain smokes. I placed them outside to air out overnight. This helped but they still smell like smoke. Outside of that, they arrived in perfect shape. They fit my bars great and look good.

Love the CAP weightlifting products! This is the second set of 15lbs CAP bumper plates for our home gym. Of course they fit all of our Olympic bars and equipment. We will be definitely buying more CAP bumper plates!!! For the quality and price you can't go wrong with CAP.

The smell from these weight plates is absolutely horrendous and honestly nauseating. I've purchased full sets of CAP dumbbells before, so I understand that rubber-coated weights can have a strong smell for a while as they off-gas. These, however, were on a completely different level. When I received them, I washed them twice to remove the greasy residue and also wiped them down with Simple Green. I then left them outside in the sun for about two weeks to air out. I thought they were finally good to go, but after bringing them into my home gym, the smell quickly filled the entire room and was so strong that I couldn't even work out in there. I put them back outside and gave them another three weeks to off-gas. Unfortunately, they still smelled just as bad, and while waiting for the odor to improve, I ended up going past my return window. I also reached out to CAP about the issue but never received a response, which only added to the frustration. It eventually got to the point where I gave up, sold the plates on the secondhand market, and spent more money to replace them with iron plates just so I wouldn't have to deal with the smell anymore. Very disappointed with these. I expected some initial rubber odor, but after roughly five weeks of airing them out, washing them, and cleaning them, the smell was still overwhelming. Between the odor and the lack of response from CAP, I can't recommend these for an indoor or home gym.

Work great with minimal smell

Not sure what I can say about a plate. But it's aesthetically pleasing to look at. I like the speckled design.

It takes a couple of days for the oily smell to evaporate. Get product for the price

Perfect size to help with hip thrusts—no more awkward rolling weight past my knees and hips. Nice addition to my home gym. Easy to add extra weight which is traditional style.

These are nice looking and will do the trick but they are flimsy. You pay for what you get as they say. These bend if you have the slightest pressure on them, as in I can literally almost bend them in half. These are the 10lbs plates though, so I cannot speak for the heavier ones. Also they come with a very strong rubber smell but that’s been kind of dissipating over the weeks. Recommend if you need a quick fix, I’ll be going for a more heavy duty set for longevity.
