Barbie Fashionistas Doll #228, Blind Barbie Doll Wearing Pink Top and Ruffled Skirt with Cane and Sunglasses in Partnership with the American Foundation for the Blind

A pretty Barbie that represents the Blind nicely. Her outfit is cute, her cane is awesome, and her face is so pretty. I love that she comes with sun glasses, too, if you want to change up her look a little. A great doll at a fantastic price. She's proudly standing next to my Down Syndrome Barbies and my Barbie in the wheelchair. I just wish, like I always do, that this Barbie had a little more articulation. The elbows are great, but I wish her knees also bent.

This Barbie is a great addition to the Fashionistas line. I like that it represents diversity and inclusion, and the details are really thoughtful. The sunglasses and white cane are nice touches, and the outfit is colorful and fun. The doll looks well made and is a great option for kids who enjoy imaginative play. It’s also nice to see toys that help represent different experiences in the real world.

Her eyes are painted crossed but she's a good looking doll. Cute clothes.

My visually impaired sister loved this Barbie when I gave it to her for her birthday. As usual, Mattel has paid close attention to detail. Barbie's cane has the "marshmallow" type tip that a lot of modern canes have, and the red section at the bottom apparently denotes that Barbie is visually impaired rather than fully blind. The cane has a little loop that fits easily over Barbie's hand. She comes with tiny light-blocking glasses that are resting on top of her head, but can also fit on Barbie's face. She has long, gorgeous brown hair and a typical pink and purple Barbie outfit. Her eyes are looking slightly up rather than directly forward. If you're giving this to a child, have scissors or snippers ready to cut the MANY bands and clips that hold Barbie in her box. These would be difficult for any kid, but especially so for a visually impaired child. I've heard some people say that Mattel doesn't need to keep making dolls of so many types, that it's going too far. But I think it's wonderful that they're making it so that almost any child can find a Barbie that looks and lives like them or like someone they love. This Barbie, the larger-figured Barbie, the ones (multiple!) in wheelchairs, the ones of various races-- these Barbies aren't for the people who don't want them to exist. If the look on my adult sister's face is anything to go by, a child with visual impairments, or who has a friend or family member with visual impairments, would adore this doll.

We love these Barbies. We have a child with some disabilities, who love these Barbies. They have blind Barbies, down syndrome, an amputee, a Barbie who wears devices foe diabetes, hearing aids, wheel chair, Barbie who has gained weight, a sign language Barbie etc. They also have Barbies with no disabilities. It teaches our little ones to be kind to ALL people etc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..Teresa

Well made and exactly as she looks in the photos. Love the diversity of the Barbie world!! Representation is great for all the different kinds of people in the world.

Great in every way except the clothes were too small. Just not my style. I ordered more modest clothes.

This was a hard doll to find, she came in perfect boxing not a mark on it, good delivery and price was great too

I was very happy with this, I gave this to my daughter, as I am blind myself and thought it would be such a great addition to her doll collection to have someone that is the same as her father. She was very happy and I’m very happy with the quality.
