awesome espresso and espresso based drinks, not good for regular cup of joe
great espresso and any espresso based drinks ( latte, cappuccino...) but if you like your American cup of Joe then espresso lugo (espresso extended with hot water) will not cut it for you. :-( . ( i had to buy a single serve coffee drip machine for my hubby so he can enjoy his coffee) I am not sure why so many mixed reviews for this product as it does the job of making mean cup of espresso really well. Taste is great and options of different brews, customization of milk to coffee ration as well as customization of beans grind. I am no barista but I do have a taste for coffee. I do find that medium roast works best for me in this machine and beans that are not overly oily nor burnt. If you like dark roast coffee perhaps the machine will make the beans taste more bitter you get in a coffee shot, but hey this is a $1000 machine not a professional espresso machine. You do have to commit to maintain it: that is clean the insert weekly, follow up with descaling and cleaning as prompted by the unit along with putting the lubricant after descaling. Keeping up with filter change is also a must. I had few issues when after cleaning machine would not "jump into place" and there was no coffee coming out. Had to reset the unit and then it worked again. Also learned that after cleaning I run some hot water ( water option) to make sure everything is aligned. I had one more issue after a week of not using machine where the espresso spout kept falling down, didn't stay in place, but that not a big deal now. For transparency and reference I purchased this unit in May of 2018 (almost 1.5Y) and still performs like it is new. I LOVE IT and recommend it.

Is it possible to be in love with a coffee machine?
We have had this for about 5 days now. It took some learning to get used to. There are some aspects that aren't intuitive, like how to program it to the amount of milk you like in your latte's, but once you figure it out it is a game changer. I've been a coffee drinker for years and my husband has preferred espresso. Now that I get steamed milk I can see why, the smooth flavor with the fresh ground beans is amazing. I purchased some sugar free caramel syrup and am making skinny caramel macchiatos at home every morning. At first I thought I would still use my Keurig for my first cup in the morning when my eyes are barely open but now that I've figured out the Incanto it is just as easy to brew to use and tastes so much better. I'm afraid I'm spoiled for life now. How do I convince my office we need to replace the Keurig with one of these?! Things to note: We do have the push the beans towards the grinder after every few cups, this is not a big deal to us. Don't put your cup in place until after it warms up if you don't want the purge water in your coffee It is no wider than my Keurig but it sticks out further If you accidentally hit the espresso lungo button twice be prepared to be awake for the rest of your life! ;-)

Makes amazing coffee! Easy to use, but slight learning curve.
Purchased this Super Automatic (expealidocious!) after visiting Switzerland this past fall and having amazing coffee there. The machine is easy to use and with a slight learning curve, we are making amazing coffee drinks! Directions are easy to follow. Cleaning is a breeze. Can’t really say one bad thing about this machine. My sister owns a Jura and she likes this machine just as well. Great maker for the money! I would highly recommend! Ps...Purchase the best beans you can afford. I have used a couple different ones and find the LaVazza beans are the least bitter!

Great at first, but now unreliable
Purchased in April 2018. It worked great for a couple of years. Now it fails at least 3 out of 4 times to make a shot - incorrectly senses no beans. Call to support was not helpful - 'use less oily beans.' Tried that, no improvement.

Great frother. Auto clean frother. Close to high end cafe
We’ve had this machine for 5mo or so. It’s a little complex to get the perfect brew, but great brews are simple and intuitive. Some review up above said there was no way to clean the frother. Ours asks to clean frother after every brew. Just psych the button, then remove good coffee and place another cup below and press button again. It steam cleans the frother. You can also clean the frother in a separate mode. We usually clean after every cup and get perfect froth every time.

If you love espresso, this is the best investment you can make
One month in, and I LOVE my Saeco Incanto with caraf machine! My programmed latte macchiato is perfect every morning and, so far, I figure I have saved about $250.00 because I have not had to go to Starbucks. (latte at Starbucks is now just over 5.00, and then you have to buy a treat or two.) What’s not to love about having an awesome latte at the touch of a button, any time you want - without leaving your house! As I live where we have had record snow fall this year, this little work horse of a machine has been a lifesaver! BUT you must be willing to care for this machine properly - as with any fully automatic espresso machine. If you are not, than this is not for you. (Yes, that’s my goofy cat sitting in the snow. He’s got cabin fever, bless his heart) Update - 9 months in and my Saeco Incanto is going strong! Regular cleaning, making sure to clean the milk carafe and each of its parts is key to a great latte macchiato. Check out this morning’s latte (pic of mug with “20 venti” on it

mediocre
Out of the box this unit came with a broken piece of plastic. Not sure where it's from but not a good sign. Set up was easy once I figured out the incredibly basic menu, like something written 20 years ago, ie, it's not intuitive to know when to press the checkmark and when to press other buttons. I made 6 cups of cappuccino. Each time, water poured out of the milk spout for 1-2 seconds before any milk. Most of the time the milk was very watery and so was the foam. Only when I made foam by itself was it foamy, even though there was water in the beginning as well. The first time I made cappuccino, the coffee didn't come out - just water. We heard the beans grind but no coffee. I do like that grinding stops if you open the lid. I do like the weight of the machine and the sturdiness of the water container vs the thinner miele that always felt like it would break. I love the ceramic grinder, the autoclean filter, and the size. But the hokey way the milk carafe clicks onto the machine is not ideal. I dont like having to watch where pieces of a machine go. You need to store the silver plug piece that can be used in place of the water spout, and the water spout needs to be stored when you use the milk carafe and the milk carafe needs to be stored to keep milk cold. The buttons were not intuitive. There was only "baby cappuccino" in the menu to set your preferences, not regular. It's just an odd machine that has decent components but the machine overall just doesn't add up for me.

makes good coffee and Cappicino
Dislike: water tank too small, no signal to let you know the water is low, until it is empty It rinses when you turn it on and when it goes off, a waste. Drip tray is awkward to handle when full of water. It does make good coffee. Making cappuccino is easy and I do ike that about this machine. Is the water tank as big as the older model?

Facil, programable y delicioso
