This was a very interesting book. Recipes were well written: list of ingredients, directions, temperatures and cook times all there. Love The index in the back, but wish was searchable. All of the recipes I have tried I loved, the potato dumplings being my favorite. Some I cannot wait to try, Farmer cheese pirogies. Some I’ll never try, Rabbit meat pate.over all a great cookbook. Going to make the pickle soup as a surprise for a family get together where I always like to toss something in that’s fun to try.

Fantastic cookbook for those interested in Polish cuisine
While a little heavy on the liver recipes, countless others will be served over and over again in our home after trying some of these new and tasty dishes from the cuisine of my ancestors.

Perfect
I truly could cry … my babcia passed away when I was fairly young, but I always remember the taste of her cooking. I held a few memories of helping her cook and how to do a couple things, but this book filled in so many gaps of recipes forgotten. It may feel dramatic to say but with a little tweaking, my kitchen feels like a little bit of babcia is still with me

MY POLISH GRANDMA WAS BORN 1890 AND I DON'T THINK ANY OF THIS BOOK HAD ANYTHING SHE COOKED ,HER MEALS WERE REAL POLISH AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY OF HER RECIPE'S BUT THE WERE THE BEST.

Brilliant little cook book. PLENTY of recipes.
Got this as a little gift for my fiance. She's Polish but has lived abroad most of her life so the only time she gets to eat polish food is when she is at her Mom's house. Her polish food knowledge is sadly limited. I've had a browse through the book and saw sooooo many different receipies for all the Polish favourites, including Golombpki (some polish person will butcher me for that spelling), Pierogi and many many more. If you want to learn to cook Polish food including soups, salads and main courses, this is the book for you. The book is quite small, a little smaller than A5 copybook, but thicker. Includes pictures for most of the recipes so you get a fair idea of what you're making and how it should look like. Few pictures from the book of some very recognisable polish dishes: Dumplings, Beef strogonov, Golombpki and apple cake (szarlotka). YUM!
