Outstanding product, but watch for warranty issue from some sellers
This is a wonderful air purifier. I've had it running constantly since I received it a couple of weeks ago. It started making a big difference in a couple of days. My allergy symptoms have virtually disappeared (indoors at least). It is obviously removing the pollen, dust and mold from the air in my home. I can see the difference with the dust, and I can feel the difference with the other allergens. The gas/odor filter also works very well. A neighbor's cooking smells are often unpleasant and strong -- this filter made them disappear. The unit is very quiet on the middle and lower speeds, and not bad on the higher speeds. This Swiss-made air purifier appears to be very well made. The materials and construction appear to be high quality. It is an expensive item, but if you live in a region where there is year round pollen, dust and mold, and you are allergic to it all, this is definitely worth the investment. But BEWARE: if you do not purchase this item directly from the manufacturer, or if you select a seller on the Amazon site that is not an authorized dealer, your unit will have no warranty at all. The seller I selected when I bought this unit on Amazon was an Authoruzed dealer, but somewhere along the way, my unit was sold by a different seller that was not even on the Amazon list of sellers. That dealer was not authorized by IQAir. I resolved the issue after speaking with an IQAir rep, who was very professional and attentive. She authorized their basic 1-year limited warranty, but could not offer me their free upgrade to a 10-year warranty. I accepted this offer so I have one year of coverage on this expensive machine, and I did not have to go through the hassle of returning the unit to Amazon, getting a refund, finding another (authorized) seller, and ordering another machine. This air purifier is absolutely worth the investment, but at that price, there should be a warranty. Avoid this problem by either buying direct from the manufacturer or making sure before you buy on Amazon that the seller you select is the one who is your actual seller, and that seller is an authorized dealer. I personally prefer to shop using Amazon Prime. I got my unit at the promised time, very well packaged, and in perfect condition. The seller, when I contacted them by email, was very helpful, but unfortunately was not an authorized dealer. They offered to provide a warranty themselves, but I wanted my warranty directly from the manufacturer. If you prefer, as I did, to buy on Amazon, I think you can go to the IQAir website to find out which Amazon sellers are authorized dealer. I have suggested to Amazon that they make sure someone doesn't switch sellers on you, and that they make it very clear that you are, or are not, buying from an authorized dealer, and the impact that can have on your warranty.

Improved air quality assists in better health.
The IQAir XE Series: HealthPro Plus Air Purifier - Smart HyperHEPA performs exactly as it should. Programming is easy. However, it is a bit noisy, so we have placed it in the most central location away from the television. This unit is the size of a piece of furniture, so keep in mind where you want to place it so that it has clear space around it. My respiratory health has been much better over the year since we placed this in our home.

Highly recommended high quality hepa
This is a great device. Very reliable and piece of mind. The app lets me access all of the 4 Plus XEs I have throughout the house.

Game changer for indoor air quality
There are two aspects to the "XE" purifier: 1) the actual mechanical unit and it's purifying abilities, and 2) the app control. 1) The air purifying capabilities of this is incredible. We've used cheap air purifiers before and never noticed much improvement. That all changed when we got the HealthPro XE. The quality of the air in the house changed dramatically. Crystal clear. Within hours the "old house smell" was completely eliminated. Pet orders gone. And using an air quality meter confirms that the particles in the air across multiple sizes are pretty much completely eliminated. I was surprised at how quiet it is for it's effectiveness. At first I was skeptical that it would do much given the low velocity of the air coming out of it, but I was wrong. Absolutely incredible, and I am absolutely looking for an excuse to buy another one. 2) The app control works fine, shows indoor vs outdoor air quality, let's you setup schedules or use the "balanced" mode which automatically detects air quality and adjusts fan speed accordingly. We found that balanced mode does not work for orders, though as these are no necessarily particles. With balanced mode, it will keep the fan fairly low and only occasionally increase the speed when we cook something, for example. But with the lower speed, odors are more noticable in the air, even though we've confirmed that the PM1, 2.5, and 10 are all at zero ppm. So, we tend to just keep it at a higher fan speed at all times to get the full effect of mountain fresh, crystal clear air. Ok, maybe I'm being a tad hyperbolic. The air coming from the purifier isn't quite the same as fresh mountain air. It does have a slight oder from the filters themselves. Hard to describe...kind of like a clinical smell you'd find in a hospital where these are used. But it's not offensive, and overall the air quality is noticably better / different than without using it. Only downside is that the app doesn't seem to connect to the device when not connected to the same WiFi network. E.g., I can't turn the purifier on/off when away from the house. It'd be great if we had remote control over the Internet instead of just the local network. I think every house and apartment should have one of these to improve air quality. Seriously, if you can afford it, don't look any further. You will not regret it.

It's just a really expensive fan, not a good air cleaner
I bought this model specifically because it claimed to reduce radon gas. After several months of use and daily testing of radon gas levels -- this air cleaner has had zero impact on radon levels. I have a border-line radon issue in one small room of a basement. I'm not asking to have the machine eliminate all of the radon. But to have daily radon readings of 4.0 ppm not drop to at least 3.9 ppm? I wouldn't think that is asking for too much. A response from the Manufacturer said that a radon mitigation system may be required. True, but then why does IQAir advertise that this model can............ ?? (SMH) Beyond that, however, this machine is otherwise just an overpriced fan, not a good air cleaner. Yes, it blows air. But does it clean the air? Think about this logically: if the filters only need to be replaced every 18-48 months, how much dust and debris can they possibly be collecting? The better an air cleaner is, the more debris it should be collecting in its filters. So, after having no affect on radon gas, I moved this machine to a larger living area of my house. Now, I routinely change my furnace/air conditioning filters every three months; and when I do, those filters are full of dust. And my furnace (/Air Conditioner) only runs a few hours a day. Now I have been running this IQAir cleaner for 24 hours a day for over three months and the filters (I removed and checked) look as clean as the day I bought them. If they were in fact collecting dust, pet dander, pollen, etc., they should look as bad as (if not worse than) my furnace filters. I should be able to see it. In fact, they should be fully clogged up in just a few months. Buyer beware. If the seller says that you can go for 18 months before changing filter #1, 24 months before changing filter #2, and 48 months before changing filter #3, then these filters are probably not collecting a lot of debris (aka: not doing a great job). -- But I will admit, this machine does blow a lot of air - at 6 different speeds. I just spent a fortune for this six-speed fan. Update: I'm sorry but I have to adjust my rating of this machine all the way down to just one star. After several months of use, it is now my opinion that this machine does nothing more than circulate air, and is actually making the dust problem worse. At least prior to having this machine, my furnace filters were collecting most of the dust and pollen, and the remaining dust just settled on the floor and got vacuumed. This machine, on the other hand, just circulates the air without collecting any dust in its filter, and the dust now get kicked up and thrown everywhere. The faster the fan runs, the more dust is thrown and settles to higher objects in the rooms. I'm noticing more dust on top of furniture and curtains and walls and pictures than ever before. I've stopped using this machine and I am going to get one that actually has filters that collects dust, with filters that can be washed or replaced frequently and inexpensively.

The absolute cleanest air!
I absolutely love IQ Air. The quality is superior to that of any other air purifier I’ve ever owned. This is my second IQ Air. The best part is that the addition of great quality is their convenience app, which tells you the air quality both outside and inside your home. IQAir GV may seem significant as it’s about 3’ x 14”, the moment you plug it in, you know help is on the way for the quality of air in your place. After about an hour, a massive difference in the air quality is noticeable. Allow your app an hour to update the air quality in your home. With the automatic settings, the speed will adjust as needed, either lowering it when necessary or increasing it when required. It is super quiet. It makes sleeping very easy and much more comfortable knowing that the air is clean and being monitored. The ease of use was crucial when I decided to purchase another IQ Air; the app tells you which filter needs to be replaced. The good news is you have over a year for some of the filters before needing to replace them. The convenience, the quietness, and the fact that it keeps the room cleaner with less dust all enhance my sleep quality. I highly recommend this product for anyone with allergies who wants to improve their quality of life.

The mystery of the funny smell
I like the machine for all the reasons stated by others: it works, it's powerful enough, the filters seem to be high quality and intelligently designed, etc. I did alot of research online and I'm glad I did, the world of air purifiers is a confusing one. But this has not disappointed. However, like several other customers I had the dreaded "what is that funky paint/chemical smell coming from the machine?" moment happen a few days ago. I've only had it 3 weeks, but I had read the reviews on here so I knew something was up and that it wasn't just me. I now finally understand what causes it. I spoke with a very helpful fellow at IQAir and he explained that it was probably the V5 filter (i then took apart the machine and tested each filter one at a time in the machine - start with the pre-filter, then add in the V5, then the HEPA - and smelled the air output with each one - yep it was the V5). What happens with the V5 filter is it contains charcoal and it soaks up stuff in the air (odors, chemicals, etc.) whether the machine is running or not. So where the machine is stored, how long it is stored, how it's shipped, the kind of container (styrofoam, plastic?) it is stored and shipped in, etc. can mean that the filter gets lots of "usage" before it ever shows up at your door. The purifier came in a cardboard box inside of a cardboard box, but the filters were not individually wrapped, so I'm pretty sure that it got stored in a warehouse somewhere for too long and just soaked up stuff. Maybe forklift exhaust. :) I called Amazon to get some help. They handle customer service for the actual seller, Mr Vac and Mrs Sew. I explained the problem and they offered me a partial refund on the cost of the purifier, which was enough to get a new V5 filter . So there it is. Now for a few possible solutions that I hope the seller and the manufacturer read and put into practice: - The best solution by far is for IQAir to individually wrap and seal each filter before putting them in boxes and shipping them to re-sellers. Then add a step to assembly where the purchasers take each filter out of the sealed wrapper and put them in the purifier. The machine is pretty simple, adding this step wouldn't be much of a bother for the consumer. IQAir can't control what re-sellers do and where they store things. Yet, if a consumer has this problem, as many of us have, we tend to associate it with the product, that means the IQAir brand takes a hit and I think they should change this process in order to preserve what is otherwise a very superior product. - The next best solution would be alot more work and seems kind of silly, but...the re-sellers would need to be careful about where they store these machines and for how long. They would need a freshness date of some sort and to be stored in a "clean room". I know, it's ridiculous. But it's the only alternative to the first solution I could think of. Again, overall a great machine, but there is one clear improvement they could make and I hope they do.

The best --- expensive but very worth it!!!
I got this because I live downtown in a 30 floor hi-rise with a common vent that spews not only all the heat in the winter and air conditioning throughout the summer but also the germs illnesses and everything else that anyone has living on any of the 29 floors below me. I also developed chronic sinusitis and I was sick all winter every winter. On top of that, being downtown, soot and all other kinds of emissions came through the leaky, rattling old windows that spanned from wall to wall and from ceiling almost down to the floor. Gorgeous view of the city but terrible on my health. I bought this and the reduction in dust in the apartment was amazing. I had sinus surgery that clean out a massive infection and I started getting well very fast. For the next 18 months I was sick only twice and got well without any antibiotics. about a year and a half ago, the landlord finally put in new windows that made everything air tight. I have no idea why but only this winter did my bedroom get so stuffy at night it would wake me up. So I started leaving a window open a bit and did so throughout the apartment. Thinking it was foolish to "clean the incoming air" with the IOAir -- I turned it off. Within 6 weeks I was sick twice (and i am now ), my room became incredibly dusty again and the smell in my room was never fresh. SO I just turned it back on at high speed. But before I did, I changed the pre-filter because it was time. I could not believe the soot and everything that came out of the old one. A young woman with me became instantly sick with sneezing. Well the filter has been changed, the machine has been on at high speed for several hours and the air smells fresh again. But I am now working in my study -- a room I have not been in for the longest time -- and the air does not feel great. So I am back -- to purchase a second unit for my study, a replacement filter and the PF40 kit IQAir Coarse Dust Pre-Filtration Kit ti add another layer of filtration to the bottom of my original unit. I will never, EVER, turn off this unit again. I plan to get one for every room in the apartment (i.e., two more -- one for the living room and one for the dining room.) It's expensive but I guess that really good product that really works is expensive....and worth it.

The best air filter ever.
Great and superior air filter. Very silent. When there is odour from the kitchen, the fan gets faster automatically and returns to slow pace when filtering is done. Perfect for gaz, smells and pollution. I use it next the cats litter. Very efficient. There is a filter monitoring for when one of the three filters needs to be replaced.

Incredible Product
We live in a basement suite, in an old house, in a city that rains about three quarters of the year. We were concerned we were breathing harmful air (mold specifically) from the various aspects of living in an old house in a very wet climate. Our sleeps would be really choppy and we would experience wheezing and (sorry to be graphic) mucous in our lungs on a daily basis. I knew that it was due to the harmful allergens a mold spores in the air. My friend has many IQ Airs in his home and raves about them, so I bit the bullet despite the high price tag and bought one. Best. Decision. Ever. No more wheezing, no more mucous and the most peaceful sleeps you can imagine. I promise you this will be worth every last penny you pay for it, including the filter cost once the current ones included go bad. This unit is vital if you live in an area with bad air quality. Huge thank you to the people at IQ Air for their high standards and great workmanship. It's very appreciated.

High-quality air purifier with impressive filtration
This is a very well-designed air purifier with excellent build quality and a thoughtful feature set. The multi-gas filtration system is a standout feature, especially for those looking for more than basic particle filtration. The smart controls are easy to navigate, and the overall design feels premium and durable. It's not the cheapest option on the market, but the quality, filtration capabilities, and coverage area make it a strong choice for anyone looking for a serious air purification solution.
