Fun and Interesting Version of this game
Serpents and Staircases is a cute Harry Potter themed take on the classic Shoots and Ladders. This game was easy to set-up and the unique game-play features were easy to understand and teach to others. We were able to start playing right away, which is always a plus when playing with kids! The moving stair cases made it very fun and challenging to win this game! The game is well-made and will stand up to plenty of use for your little wizards. The board game and pieces are typically sized for a board game and are sturdy. I was able to purchase this during a Prime Days sale, for about $10, which I think is a perfect price, though I'd be willing to buy it again or recommend it at its regular retail value.

Great Gift and Super Fun
I purchased this as a birthday gift, and it turned out to be a great choice! It arrived on time, was exactly as described, and felt like a quality item right out of the box. The presentation was nice, which made it feel even more special to give. Most importantly, the recipient absolutely loved it and has been enjoying it ever since—that’s always the best part. It’s one of those gifts that strikes a perfect balance between thoughtful and practical. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for something reliable and well-received for a birthday!

Fun for everyone, especially Harry Potter fans
This is a fun twist on the familiar Shutes and Ladders game. The staircases can move to advance the player, and landing on a serpent's head can send you back. Harry Potter characters are the markers which adds to the authenticity. It was fairly easy to set up, but does have to be disassembled to put away. My daughter and granddaughters (12 and 9) enjoyed playing it and will play it again. Be sure to read all the rules since there are variations from the traditional game.

Fun dynamic, rule book lacking
Fun theme. The rules are not very clear but we came up with house rules and added them with post-it notes. (Easy to do since the game isn’t complicated.)

Fun and simple
We love this game. It's straightforward and a fun spin on chutes/snakes and ladders. Just figure out a system for who gets to change the staircases before you start playing.

Cute little game for moms & kids!
Such a fun little game! I’m obsessed with Harry Potter and so is my daughter so this was just fun to be able to share and play with her. Do read the instructions on how to play because it’s slightly different than the original shoots and ladders with the moving staircases. But the game is high quality, thick board and pieces so they don’t bend easily, and the little character area adorable.

This is a game for a Harry Potter fan. It’s for little kids. It reminds you of the old shoots and ladders game the stairs move as you play on the board the little boy that I bought it for loved it.
