Selle Royal

Early days still, but this is comfortable for me and a definite improvement on my existing saddle. Took my time and adjusted it with a shortish (9km) run to check my set-up. Tweaked it a little and then completed a much longer run today (40km)... And all was well. Much less discomfort through my seat bones (all other factors like padded shorts remain the same), very little tenderness towards the end of the ride and my lower back was comfortable throughout (which is saying a lot as I have chronic back pain). Impressed so far. Easy to fit, adjust and feels good. Bought the saddle bag to fit the clip system as my existing one wouldn't fit the curved rails... But that's a small price to pay for comfort!

Being measured for a saddle was new to me but well worth it (and you can do it yourself at home). This saddle is much narrower than my old Bontrager Comfort gel one. I also find it firmer but I have realised that my weight is now on my sit bones and I don't wriggle around as much. Definitely a real improvement.

One of best of its type IMHO.

I find this really comfortable. There's just enough padding under my sit bones to make it comfortable for extended periods. This would be too wide for a drop-handlebar bike, and possibly too narrow for a very upright riding position, but the slightly-forward position I use on my hybrid works perfectly with this. (Your sit bones are almost certainly different to mine, so what works for me may not work for you! Make sure you get the right size.)

This is the second time I’ve bought a Selle Royal, and I will gladly buy more if needed. Worth every penny!

Saddles are an emotive subject but this saddle suits me fine. Enough to say that ALL my bikes are fitted with this saddle. Worth a try!

Bought 2 and returned both as the cover peeled away at the front in less than 20Km of cycling despite wearing bib shorts. However very comfortable.

i have been trying to find a new saddle, as my last one caused some discomfort when i have my rucksack on, so far more comfortable than my last one. very grippy material, good padding. unfortunately the material on the nose has started to come away after only six weeks on the bike

For me, very comfortable.

Ein sehr komfortabeler Sattel der auch nach 60km noch sehr bequem ist. Habe den Sattel auf meinem Tourenrad platziert, bei dem ich eine aufrechte Sitzposition einnehme. Statt einer Aussparung, die das abklemmen der Weichteile verhindert, ist hier ein 3d Schaumgelpolster verbaut. Das macht den Sattel sehr anschmiegsam und schützt vor Taubheitsgefühlen. Das Material an den Beckenknochen ist auch weich, aber dick genug um lange Touren zu ermöglichen, für ein männliches Standardgewicht. Ich kann gut nachvollziehen, dass dieser Sattel im Tourenmagazine als bester Sattel im Vergleich zu Anderen ausgezeichnet wurde.

クロスバイクで通勤に使ってますが 座り心地は絶品． ゴツゴツした突き上げや沈みこむ柔らかさとは無縁のしっとり感，フラット感． お尻を載せると どこにも強く当たらずフラットに収まって滑らない． お尻を前後に動かしても違和感がなく 硬質のソファに座ってるかのような気持ちよさ． 後ろは固めのサスペンションつき．路面やペダリングに合わせて上下左右にしなることで走行中でも高質感溢れるフラットライドを維持します． 「ママチャリサドルに似てるしペダリングしづらいかも，ボヨンボヨン跳ねるかも」という心配は全くの杞憂でした．コンフォート系とは言え，有名なフィジークを擁するブランドですからね． このサドル，コンフォート系としては高価だし スポーツ系としてはデカくて重いので躊躇しましたが．欧州スポーツセダンで通勤したい大人におすすめします．そういう質感です． 気持ちに余裕がないとき，疲れたとき しみじみ幸せになれますよ． ■カタログやマニュアルを熟読したのですが，メーカーの主張は以下3点． ・ママチャリならRelaxed，フラットバーならModerate，ドロップハンドルならAthletic． ・サイズはそこらの椅子に座り，骨盤の幅を物差しで測れ（自分は11.5cmでした）． ・取付時の基本は「レールを水平に（座面は若干前傾）」．

Ich (weiblich, 165 cm, 55 kg) pendle täglich eine kurze Strecke (ca. 8 km einfach) mit einem ungefederten Trekkingrad ins Büro. Habe den Sattel jetzt seit einigen Wochen (M2) und bin begeistert. Ich habe vorher schon Experimente mit harten Rennsätteln, weichen Gelsätteln und antiken Ledersätteln gemacht. Tendentiell mag ich lieber harte, schmale Sättel. Zu weich und "sessel-mäßig" behindert mich beim Treten. Bisher hat kein Sattel so wunderbar und ohne langes "Einsitzen" so gut gepasst wie dieser. Ich habe vorher nach Anleitung den Abstand meiner Sitzbeinhöcker ausgemessen - war mit "M" weiter als erwartet ;-) - und den Sattel gemäß meiner halbsportlichen Haltung in "moderate" bestellt. Die Härte ist für mich optimal - nicht so "schlabberig" wie die meisten Gelsättel. Er fühlt sich eher an wie mein alter, gut eingesessener Ledersattel - nur daß man nicht darauf herumrutscht. Lange Strecken habe ich bis jetzt nicht getestet. Maximum war ca. 30 km ohne Probleme. Nach ca. 500 km Pendelbetrieb kann ich aber noch keine Abnutzung feststellen.
