Things We Never Got Over Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon. Knox doesnโt tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride. Naomi wasnโt just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned wayโฆwith fists and beer. Usually in that order. Things We Hide From The Light Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his rear end. But two bullets put a dent in his Southern charm and now he's facing a criminal still on the loose and a town full of citizens that consider the law more of a 'guideline'. The last thing he needs is the leggy, smart-mouthed Lina Solavita moving in next door, making him feel things he doesn't have the energy to feel. Lina is on a mission. As soon as she gets what she's after, she has no intention of sticking around. The town of Knockemout has other ideas. Soon she finds herself sucked into small-town life. Dog-sitting. Saying yes to a bridesmaid's dress. Listening to the sexy chief of police in the shower. Things We Left Behind Lucian Rollins is a lean, mean vengeance-seeking mogul. Determined to erase his abusive father's mark on his family name, he spends every waking minute pulling strings and building his empire. The more money and power he gains, the safer he feels. Except when it comes to one feisty small-town librarian. Although they are bonded by a dark secret from the past and their current mutual disdain, Sloane Walton only trusts Lucian as far as she can throw him. Until their bickering accidentally turns to foreplay, fanning flames of desire that can't be put out. Heartwarming, hilarious, and a bit chaotic.
Lucy Scoreโs Knockemout series has taken the romance world by storm, blending small-town charm with sizzling chemistry and heartwarming themes of love, growth, and family. Whether youโre a seasoned romance reader or a curious newcomer, this series offers muchโbut it may not be for everyone. Hereโs an honest breakdown of why you should (and shouldnโt) pick up these books. 5 Reasons You Should Read the Knockemout Series: -- Unforgettable Characters: Score excels at creating layered, lovable characters. Whether itโs Knox, the brooding alpha hero, or Naomi, the runaway bride with a heart of gold, their quirks, banter, and emotional journeys feel authentic and captivating. Each character leaves an impression that lingers long after youโve turned the final page. -- Small-Town Vibes Done Right: The fictional town of Knockemout oozes charm. From nosy neighbors to tight-knit friendships, itโs a setting that feels alive and comforting. The sense of community is palpable, making you wish you could pack your bags and move there. -- Laugh-Out-Loud Humor: The dialogue and situations are hilariously relatable, with just the right amount of chaos to keep things entertaining. If you enjoy rom-coms that donโt take themselves too seriously, this series will have you grinning ear to ear. -- Emotional Depth and Growth: Beneath the humor and romance lies a wealth of emotional depth. The series tackles themes like family trauma, self-worth, and second chances, giving the charactersโ love stories a meaningful, relatable edge. -- Swoon-Worthy Romance: If you love opposites-attract stories with plenty of heat, these books deliver. The chemistry between the leads is electric, and their slow-burn romances are as satisfying as they are steamy. 5 Reasons You Might Not Enjoy the Knockemout Series -- Predictable Tropes: While the series embraces its rom-com roots, it leans heavily on familiar tropesโgrumpy-sunshine dynamics, small-town meddling, and "enemies-to-lovers" storylines. If you prefer unconventional plots, this might feel formulaic. -- Over-the-Top Drama: The series thrives on dramatic twists, but some readers may find the conflicts exaggerated or unnecessarily drawn out. If you like your romance grounded in realism, this could be a drawback. -- Lengthy Narratives: Each book is a hefty read, with significant page time dedicated to side plots and secondary characters. While some may love the depth, others might find the pacing sluggish or wish for tighter storytelling. -- Too Much Quirkiness: While the small-town antics and quirky characters are endearing to many, they can feel excessive or forced for those who prefer subtler humor and storytelling. -- Occasional Repetition: Scoreโs style occasionally relies on repeated inner monologues and familiar character beats. If youโre someone who values fresh, concise prose, this could detract from your reading experience. Final Thoughts: Knockemout is a love-it-or-leave-it series, but itโs undeniably a standout in contemporary romance. Give it a shotโyou might just find your next book boyfriend in the process.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I fell in love with the Knockemout Series half way through book one!! All three of these books had my heart! I absolutely loved Knox and Lucien and their characters. This trio of a romance series was soo easy to read. These were my first Lucy Score books and I endeavoured them! You couldnโt help but fall in love with the characters. It was such an easy read. I love how all three books are separate, but also follow on in each book (so make sure to read them in order). There was definitely some spice in these books, but the spicy scenes never took away the plot and story. I laughed, and I cried! Would recommend this series to anybody!
