Simply the best!!!
I've had PF for six years now in both feet. I've tried walking splints during the day. Going to a physical therapist. Doing daily stretching and strengthening but nothing worked. I'd had given up after the first year and had been just tuffing it out with some cheap shoe insoles. But recently I decided it was time to finally make the plung and buy a night brace. I first bought one of those big bulky night braces and it works ok. The bulkiness doesn't bother me. Its drawbacks are more in the area of comfort and performance. To really get the desired affect it needs to be so tight that it can't be warn because of discomfort. It doesn't stretch the tendons at all like this one does either. BUT! I still use it on my left foot for my heal PF and it works good with the straps nice and loose. But for my right foot which has arch PF it did little to no good. I tried one of those night splints that connects at the toes and pulls up all night but it absolutely CRUSHED my toes and the pain was unbearable. It only takes a little pressure to make your toes hurt or to lose their blood flow and go numb. So I bought this item and the first night I put it on too tight and it was painful so I took it off after an hour. The next night I thought to myself this thing is worthless because I have to use it loosely so it's not really holding my foot and toe in the perfect position but I was wrong. I loosened it up a bit and slept with it. The next morning the pain was almost completely gone. Three days later my arch was better than it had been in years. It's been a week now and I can finally do some jump-roping and other strengthening exercises to actually solve my PF for good. So a few things to remember: to cure PF you'll need this brace, at least twice daily stretching of the arch, achillies tendon, calf and hamstrings, and you need to do daily foot strengthening exercises or your PF will just keep coming back because PF is pain caused by weak or overused or injured tendons that get inflamed. Buy this, wear it loosely, stretch, strengthen, and you will be PF free one day. Remember it takes MONTHS to fix tendons not days or weeks, MONTHS! So keep it up. Lastly, I stuff a sock between my foot and this brace to spread out the pressure on the top of my foot at night so I don't get any discomfort at all. Any discomfort with this brace is user error by having it too tight.

Incredible Relief
I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for several years, and I have also undergone several nerve decompression surgeries on my foot and ankle. I have been wearing this to bed every night for about a month and I can't say enough good things about it. Despite how it looks, it is super comfortable, whether I'm sleeping on my back or my side. It gives a gentle stretch (you can adjust the stretch), which feels fantastic with my tight calf and tight plantar muscle. I have tried many other products to provide some relief and I can tell you that this is the real deal. I literally can't wait to get into bed to put this on and give my toe a good stretch while I read or watch TV (I usually loosen the stretch after a couple of hours). I'm going to show this to my foot surgeon next time I have an appointment.

possibly great if you don't have a neuroma, otherwise ok
All these front-of-foot night splints are easier to sleep in than the bulky ones your heel resets in. Like others of it's kind I've tried, this was the case. It was also less hot than those bulky ones. That toe stretch is a great thing...and added perk. I give it four stars because unfortunately I have had to become a bit of an expert on Plantar Fascitis and I know that hand-stretching your big toe back precisely this way really helps...I can only imagine what having it gently stretched all night would do! Unfortunately, I can't use it all night. Unlike the other kind of bulky splint that goes on the back of your foot, these frontal ones use straps and usually there is one around the upper foot or base of the toes, like with this splint. That band subtly pushes your/my ?metatarsal bones togeather. I have a neuroma. I can't have those bones squezzed togeather...it pinches my neuroma between tham! (neuroma is a bump of scar tissue, a thickening of a nerve that goes between the base joints of 2 toes). This is second splint of this kind and like the other one, I had this problem. HOwever MOST People Don't Have a Neuroma. Even wearing this for a few hrs when my HEEL is very sore (then waking up automatically with neuroma discomfort from the splint) I noticed a difference in my Plantar Fascitis. It stretches you Much better than other splints. I have less heel pain the days after I wear this splint and I have 2 dif splints so I have controlled the variables...ie I know the difference is having my toe stretched back. For those of you who do not stretch your PF three times a day, buy this splint. If you are worried that your PF is stretching on, Try this. I continue with my PF because I have other injuries that get in the way. You don't have to. I think this would be worth a shot for most people. It's very comfortable neoprene material and the straps are removable and washable which being on your foot is a perk to me.

Use this before getting cortisone or buying something else!
After a shot per week for five weeks to the base of my Plantar ligament, and beginning to wear my orthodics again, (which actually exacerbated my issue even more), I was desperate for relief. The pain was far worse then the problem I had in my left foot a year earlier, and the only remedy my podiatrist could suggest after the shots, was a referral to an orthopedic surgeon! I had been diligently wearing my "DorsiWedge" boot while watching tv/surfing the web, and often (tried) to sleep with it on too, but it would always wake me up from the pressure pains it created from keeping my foot straightened out. In desperation, I began searching online for other devices, stretches, etc., that might offer me the relief I needed so badly, and I found it! The Darco Night Splint Body Armor (one size fits all) In 3 nights of wearing it (yes, it is comfortable enough to get through the night with it on) my pain had diminished by about 60%. Now, after two weeks, I am PAIN FREE, and didn't wear it at all last night with no pain while walking all day! The first night didn't make a big difference: I had put it on too tight, and hadn't adjusted it to pull my big toe back far enough, and I ended up taking it off in the middle of the night. After that, it was all up hill. I HIGHLY recommend this device. Put it on when you go to sleep, making sure that your toe is cranked back as much as you can handle (it makes a big difference), and watch your Plantar issue fade away! My only regret is that I went for all of those shots, complete with co-payments, taking time off of work, and even going the whole orthodics route (big waste of money), without finding this device first. I hope this helps you.

Velcro Defect
I read many reviews before buying this splint. This is the first splint I have tried. I sent the first one back due to what I believed was a manufacturers defect...the straps that loop through the slats and velcro close, has the velcro edges sewn so tightly that they poked through the fabric and scratched my opposite leg all night long through the night, so that I finally around 5 am, was forced to take the splint off. I sent it back for a replacement. The replacement has the exact same issues. I will try again with the replacement, and wrap an ace bandage around the velcro sections and see if that helps. The other issue is the toe pull does not stay on through the night if you are a restless sleeper and toss and turn through the night. It just fastens with velcro on the bottom, but a better solution would be to have it loop around something on the bottom and fasten, rather than just sticking to the bottom fabric portion. I am a plus size lady and this fit with no problem. It is adjustable for many sizes, and I wear a shoe size ladies size 10, and it still felt "big" on my foot. It was however, not too bad sleeping in it, had I not had the issue with the velcro scratching. I was surprised at how comfortable it was to wear in bed. I don't know how to resolve the issue of the velcro scratching...other than wrapping it or taping it...but to spend this much money on a splint, one would think that they would not have to "fix" any issues! I do like the design of the open toe. Makes it cool to use and my foot doesn't sweat. The hard plastic does make it difficult to walk in if you need to get up through the night for a restroom break. The toe attachment is in the center of the plastic, making it hard to loop your big toe and hook on. why they didn't design it to be more off centered towards the big toe is beyond me....because I think it would work better that way. My toe was quite numb within a half hour of going to bed. Overall, not a bad splint, just some minor alterations would make this an awesome splint!!

It's not comfortable, but it works
When I developed bilateral planter fasciitis, I knew what to get, as I used to sell these. Here are my suggestions and experience. 1) I wore it 3-4 hours a night (the discomfort would wake me up in the middle of the night, and I’d remove the splints), and regardless, 5 days later, my plantar fasciitis was no longer noticeable. 2) But I am not cured, the more active I am, the more I need to be sure I stretch and wear the splint, (usually 3-4 nights passed the end of foot pain). 3) The splint is not meant to be comfortable, it is meant to stretch the tendon extending from your big toe, thru your heel, and up your calf (known as the windlass mechanism). 4) The more effectively you stretch your big toe while wearing the splint, the faster your symptoms will disappear 5) The more you focus on stretching that tendon, the less you’ll have to wear the splint. The Darco Body Armor Night Splint works. But you need to understand how to use it, incorporate it with a stretching and exercise routine, and accept it isn’t going to be comfortable.

They have changed the heel cutout. Do not buy it if you have over a size 9 foot!!
I've had one of these since 2016, which has been FANTASTIC, but it is simply worn out. I ordered the same item again, and it no longer fits my size 13 foot. The new one has a smaller cutout where the heel fits, which causes a hotspot at the top of the cutout on the top of my heel. While the previous model was perfect and gave me many nights of relief, the new model is simply unusable.

Top!
Klare Kaufempfehlung!
