I have severe arthritis in both my knees. Bending to sit on a toilet seat is more than just difficult, it’s extremely painful. I had one toilet in my hall bathroom changed with a chair height Kohler model.. The total cost was $700 for the toilet, plumber, parts and installation. I was happy to pay it after trying 3 different toilet seat risers that were more than worthless.. they were dangerous. They could not be returned and went into the garbage The Lunderg Padded Toilet seat riser is genius. The 3 extra inches makes using the toilet easy. Installation took 3 minutes.. those suction cups grabbed onto the existing toilet seat like magnets. The 4 additional Velcro straps offer extra security. If I could install it, anyone can. It does not move at all when using it. Sitting down was easy, getting up was easy. It’s comfortable and completely secure, as if my toilet just got taller. I’m not replacing the second toilet in the master bathroom because the Lunderg Padded Seat riser is perfection. If you need extra height on your toilet seat.. this is what you need. I purchased another cushion from Walgreens for comparison. The cushion from Walgreens is made well and has 4 inches of padding. It has 4 Velcro straps. The hole is much smaller and the cushion is made from a very cheap foam which deflates down to a half inch tall. The Velcro straps are difficult to adjust because they do not have adjustable straps. The Lunderg brand has a anti-slip backing which helps keep it in place with 6 suction cups and 4 adjustable Velcro straps. This makes it easier to install and remove. It also helps it to stay secure without slipping out of place. The cushion maintains it's shape and does not deflate like the Walgreens cushion. It is more comfortable because the foam cushion is higher quality 2 inch dense foam. The cushion from Walgreens is $10 cheaper but not near the quality of the Lunderg brand from Amazon. I have a hamstring pull and this makes it very painful to sit down. This cushion makes the pain more tolerable.

This is saving my 50 year old husband who just has a hip replacement this week. I would give this 4.5 stars. The only reason I am not at 5 stars is that it "feels" odd and "not secure", even though it is secure. Maybe it is because subconsciously, you know toilet seats are supposed to be cushioned. When you sit on it, it feels like it is shifting, but it isn't. It is secured with 4 straps and multiple suction cups that stick unbelievably well, but like I said, it feels odd. I give it 5 stars for ease of cleaning. If you want a good alternative for the hard, narrow opening toilet risers for after surgery, this is a great choice. I am NOT sure about use by seniors because of the odd feeling until.youbare used to it.

Comfortable and supportive post-hip surgery. It is not the hard rigid plastic of most risers and it is also not that squishy foam that deflates when you sit. It is the perfect padded solution and just the right height. It was easy for me to put on and it never slid or moved around until I was ready to manually take it off, which was also quick and easy. Granted you cannot close the lid of your toilet with this on, and it is too much work to take it on and off every time you “go”, but I felt this was a small price to pay for the comfort and convenience.

Although this three inch ooseat riser is well made and serves the purpose, it wont stay on the toilet seat without continual adjustment. Figure out a better way to secure it to the seat and you have a winner.

My purposes: 1) A standard toilet seat presses into the back of my thigh causing swelling. I need a padded seat to eliminate that discomfort. 2) I need to get my body parts away from the water. TMI? Mission accomplished. The seat is comfortable and lifts me up to eliminate said issues. This seat is designed to be attached to your existing toilet seat via suction cups and Velcro straps. It doesn't lift more than a few inches so this is intended for sitting only. You are not going to attaching and removing constantly as that would be an involved process. If you plan to stand and have the seat stay up on its own, move on to a different product. Attaching the product is to simply clean the toilet seat, wipe off the suction cups to remove any dust/dirt, put in place, push down to secure the suction cups and then put on the Velcro straps. To thoroughly clean, you will untie the Velcro straps, utilize an included small plastic tool to carefully disconnect each suction cup from the toilet seat, and then you can remove the riser cover to wash. Note: This review is being written the day I attached the product for the first time. I have yet to perform the thorough cleaning so I cannot state the ease of removing the suction cups or the cover. I found this to be comfortable, firm, and stable. The width is slightly less than a standard toilet seat but wide enough for my comfort. You can register the product to get a one year warranty (from purchase date). They provide email and chat support. If I find that removing, cleaning, reattaching changes my opinion of the product, I'll update the review. I think this is a good purchase.

I got this item as I just had hip replacement surgery. It was easy to snap on and off the toilet seat as once it’s on you can’t lift the seat to stand and pee. It’s sturdy and comfortable at the same time as I’m 210lbs and didn’t flatten it. The riser keeps my knees and hips aligned when using. If needed the cover is easy to wipe down. Highly recommended.

Very well made padded toilet seat. Impressive heavy duty vinyl padding, with suction cups underneath the cushion and Velcro straps. If you push down on the seat the suction cups could be all you need to fasten it to the toilet seat - we have not had to go to the trouble of using the Velcro. Great for any reason needed to purchase, hip or joint problems - great to add height for taller people to more easily use a toilet seat.

So far it’s working beautifully! Stays in place, dense but comfortable foam the 2” height was perfect as I have a taller toilet and it fit the elongated seat well.

Excellent Works well. And it’s always warm which was a nice surprise It was only used for 3 weeks so can’t tell on lifetime. It was quite expensive but you don’t have to remove the toilet seat so that was an advantage

What a difference this has made for me. Had hip replacement and needed a toilet raiser. Others tried were far to hard to sit on and really painful with the post op bruising. This is firm enough to keep you elevated but soft enough to make it comfortable. Suction and fixing tabs work perfectly.
