Review: Great Devotional for Couples - Would make a great gift - I read the 5 Love Languages book written by Gary Chapman years ago. I just recently purchased another copy of that book because I lost my original. I'm re-reading the book while my husband is listening to the book on CD. I'm not sure what I expected when I ordered this devotional book, but it has certainly exceeded my expectations. The book itself is very nice. It has a leather look and feel. It doesn't look "girly" so it looks nice on your bedside table no matter if you are maleaving or female. Prior to receiving this we were reading a devotional every night before bed together. Even though the devotions were good, they rarely touched on marriage, relationships or anything like what we need right now. The devotions in this book are so good I have actually sat down and read some of them like a regular book. They truly hit home for both spouses and in my opinion help couples understand each other better. During a difficult time in our marriage we have found this book to be extremely helpful. The devotions are about a page long but not dull or boring reads. They are informative but not difficult to understand or comprehend. Even though we are reading/listening to the 5 Love Languages at the same time separately this seems to be the glue to bring all of that together. Reading this at night before we go to bed seems to be particularly nice. It's the end of the day, work is over, chores are finished, kids are in bed & after being in a marriage/relationship for many years it's a much needed time of sharing and quiet yet thoughtful moment together. I would recommend this devotional to anyone in a marriage, long term committed relationship or even for newlyweds just starting out. This would make a great gift to a newly married couple. I have nothing negative to say about this devotional at all. I think I enjoy this more than the book to be honest. My husband seems to enjoy it as well which is really saying something because he's not a "reader" or lover of books in general. I DID NOT receive this book at a discount, for free or as a part of any program. I purchased it by choice with my own money. My reviews are my own honest opinions and thoughts. Review: Happy Wife = Happy Life! - This is a GREAT morning devotional for all couples written by Gary Chapman. My wife and I attended one of his conferences years ago and were so impressed with his approach to marital happiness. I recommend this for any couple but be forewarned, unless you read this together, it will not help your marriage!! This book was suggested to me by one of my neighbors and now my wife and I look forward each morning to the wisdom contained in those pages. It's "man friendly", that it it's short and to the point. Incidentally, my neighbor's husband is not participating in any devotionals with her and she often complains to me that doesn't communicate with her on an emotional level, very rarely if ever gives her compliments is not very "loving" (except where the kids are concerned). My wife loves our times together! We often do the devotional and that leads to other really deep conversations. This has made a huge difference in our marriage!

A great resource for your marriage! Even after 25 years!
Even after almost 25 years of marriage, there is no better way to have joy and peace in your life than to know you and your spouse are rowing the boat in the same direction. The 5 Love Languages book was introduced to us in our pre-marital counseling, and we absolutely feel it has been one of the most important books next to the Bible that we could read-and put into practice. We read one every day and when we are not together, I read them to my wife by a short video that I text her so she can listen when she has time. It has turned into a habit that we both love. Usually at breakfast, she says "read to me", so I open it and we spend the next few minutes listening to something we can put into practice today that will make our marriage stronger. Communication is the key to a strong relationship and how we communicate Love to each other is what this book is all about (along with the 5 Love Languages book and your Bible). Keep it on your breakfast table, make it a daily habit, and enjoy the blessings!.

Personal Review: The Love Languages Minute Devotional
Reading The Love Languages Minute Devotional has been a truly uplifting experience! I love that it serves as a daily reminder not only to read scripture, but also to reflect on my own role in making my marriage the best it can be. Each day offers a short, meaningful passage, practical insight, and ends with a heartfelt prayer focused on strengthening the bond between husband and wife. What makes this devotional so special is its consistency! It becomes a daily habit of spiritual connection and self-discovery. After a full year of praying intentionally over my marriage and reading these guided reflection, I can honestly say itโs an amazing and rewarding feeling. This book is a gift to any couple seeking to grow in faith and love together!

No discussion questions
This is a practical devotional for current times and relevant issues couples face but definitely not for both people to read and grow together. I was disappointed to find there are no discussion questions to share at the end of the devotion as advertised. My husband and I read the short devotions each day but find it hard to carry on a conversation about the topic of the day.

Definitely for couples
My husband and I took about five weeks and drove from SC to Alaska. We decided to start a daily devotional. We first used the Joyce Meyer book that had 100 days of devotionals. After the hundred days we were in the habit and really enjoyed it and after much searching, we decided on this one. This one digs in a lot deeper and is definitely a book for couples. It has opened up a lot of discussions between us. Not that our marriage needed any help but this has definitely helped us communicate better.

A very insightful and practical devotional for couples
This book is very well written and very practical and has a lot of depth; it is also biblically sound. It touches on many other topics and issues in marriage than just simply the 5 love languages. My fiancรฉ and I have been reading this devotional together and it has really helped us to understand God's point of views and values, as well as understand each other more and know how to better talk through issues that may come up. I highly recommend this book for christian and non-christian couples. I've bought one for some of my couple friends hoping it will be just as beneficial for them as well. One note, it helps a lot and is more effective if you read it together as a couple.

Very good and useful teachings for those who love the word of God and each topic has a Bible verse to go with it. It has transformed the way I think view others. I definitely recommend
