Absolutely love this fan, works fast and cools the room quickly. We hung it below the ac vent to help bring down the cold air and wow, it's cold! It is a little noisy, but that's ok with us as it blocks out the barking dogs, noisy neighbors, and the hum is relaxing. Definitely use 2 hooks, a lock hook with an anchor and 1 for the cord! It jump starts so make sure the blades are locked in! It's a really fast fan! I hope it lasts! Oh, 1 more thing, you definitely need an extension cord, the on off switch is high up, so we just unplug the extension cord.

I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the reviews, but I needed a lightweight inexpensive ceiling fan for our front porch. Assembly was a breeze, but make sure the fan blades click into place. When starting up, the fan kicks several times until it reaches operating speed. It’s a bit disconcerting at first. If you just have it hanging by a hook, it may buck itself off. Once up to speed, it produces a very nice airflow. It does have a noticeable hum, about 50 dB; it’s not noisy, but noticeable. There may be better lightweight ceiling fans available, but this will do for what we need.

Honestly there's nothing really terrible about this except that, well, we turned it on and it was blowing the wrong way so no downward airflow. So for a few days if you turned it off and turned it back on it would create a nice breeze. But after about five days, it just went insane and started reversing direction every two or three seconds and we were kinda worried about it falling on us. And also, even when it was working properly it was drawing close to 30 watts and all of our USB ceiling fans don't even register drawing any watts. So I would say this is a hard no go. Just get couple of cheaper USB ceiling fans and float on.

This fan was thr ideal purchase for my needs. I wanted afan to use on my front porch. All we did was put a large hook on the ceiling of the porch. Then hung it up and ran the cord down the wall and plugged it in.it only has 1 speed and no light, however I didn't want or need a light and quite frankly the one speed is very fast. This fan is excellent no noise, air flow is very, very good.

Works well when property mounted. Requires a duel anchor point mount that can be secured together to keep the fan handle from moving. I also noticed the cord would twist around base. Initially I tried a hook mount. The fan spins in same direction to unscrew the hook. Hilariously, I saw this happening in slow motion. I knew the spinning fan was about to fall on my head. I rushed to unplug it but not in time. Now I have a swollen line across my forehead from where the blade hit me. Blows air well. Slight hum. Not very noisy. SCOOYEEES, FIX THE MOUNTING ISSUES!

After reading the reviews and seeing the 3.2 rating, I was hesitant to buy this. However the price was great and it was the only one that wasn't a USB outlet, so I took a chance. I am SO glad I did. From pulling it out of the box to turning it on took all of 5 min. I'm using it under a 12x12 gazebo on my deck and was primarily concerned about moving air and keeping bugs away, but it actually provides a nice cooling breeze. I'm not sure where all the complaints of noise are coming from because I don't hear mine AT ALL. Zip, zilch,zero noise. I'm so impressed with this little guy, I'm buying another for my parent's back porch.

My husband needed something in his garage to help keep cool for him and the dogs while they're out there doing their thing, this is perfect! It's quiet, extremely easy to put up and/ or move around, with very basic functioning. You really can't go wrong with this.

Only one speed, low. Not moving much air.

Great light weight fan. Using on covered patio at trailer. Price is right
