Excellent product good price and reliable.
This has been a game changer for me-I can leave for the weekend and my chickens are fed consistently at times and intervals I set. Attached to a 5 gal bucket and hung up in the chicken run. Timer is easy to use and the directions are printed right on the product. I love the solar option and plan to buy a panel in the near future but fresh batteries last about a month.

So far so good
Easy to use. Works well when the feed bucket is full but as the bucket gets lower in feed, the center of the feed hollows out due to the design of the product, and then the feed won’t come out. The bucket of feed needs to be at least half way full or more at all times so the feed will come out. Also, I suggest you mount it low to the ground or it will spray far and wide. Plus if you have whole peas or other larger bits in the feed, fair warning, those suckers hurt when they come flying out! Keeping it low to the ground avoids it getting enough momentum to hurt. Or you could always put a mesh skirt around the base of the bucket to help prevent the feed from spraying out so hard and far. Overall it was worth the money…. we will see if it continues to hold up in a weeks time. So far so good.

Super convenient.
Love this thing. Have had it set up for chickens about a year now and it keeps them entertained throughout the day, only have to refill the bucket occasionally, and the batteries are fine enough. It takes a moment to remember how to reset it after battery change but no big deal. I do wish there was more clear instruction for solar set up, I have a panel but don't want to ruin the spinner.

Automatic chicken feeder
Works great! The timer is easy to figure out we have it set to go off two times a day and it’s been on point every time. Be careful of other little critters trying to get in through the feeder hole though. We use this in our chicken coop and have other birds fly up and sit on it like a perch and eat from the feeder hole as well as a mouse found its way inside but I do believe thats things that we can work to fix nothing to do with the quality of the product. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone asking.

Automatic food yeeter is PERFECT for our backyard flock
We attached auto feeder to the bottom of a metal trashcan and hung it from a tree. The squirrels cannot defeat it, which is great. You can adjust how many seconds it will yeet the seeds. I have a mixture of scratch and dried worms in there and the chickens come running like Pavlov's dogs every morning and afternoon. It runs on a battery, so there is no cord. I've been running it for a month now every morning and afternoon and the battery is still going strong. 3 seconds in the morning and 3 seconds in the afternoon keep my 14 ladies very happy! (Especially since we are not always home to give them treats in person during the day)

Treat-slinging son of a gun!
Filled a 5 gallon bucket with dried soldier flies. Set it to 8 seconds to feed twice a day because I’m going out of town for Christmas. It definitely slings them. Some bounced off the run walls, but it kept my Silkies busy hunting them instead of sitting on their flufferbutts for quite awhile which is probably good for them as they’re rather lazy. The only improvement I would like to see is a way to set it to not sling quite so far as smaller treats would go out the chicken wire as opposed to bouncing, but I’m happy with it overall for dried worms/flies. Much better than asking and hoping the neighbor came over every day to pitch them some treats or hauling them all in the car with us as I did the last time we went out of state. Was easy-peasy to install on the bucket even without the template that was not in the box. Also simple to program.

Update 8/9/25 - after about a month of use, the clock time has started going wrong. It's done this twice so I've given up using it and asked for a replacement from the manufacturer. The second time could see it reset itself to 00:00. ---- We did a review - search briidea chicken feeder on YouTube. On the plus side you get offered a 2 yr warranty in the instructions Things to watch out for: 1. always going to be some food left on and under the spin plate in the weather or for vermin to eat 2. food goes on the ground - not ideal and 3. don't have much confidence in it lasting in bad weather due to the reviews here so it stays in a large bin overnight. However nice to have the chooks fed when we are out, but not overfed as they would be with a traditional treadle plate feeder.

The unit was kept indoor but only works intermittently after a month in use. Sometimes it works as expected, sometimes the screen light up at the set feeding time but no spin, or the screen is just completely black even when the feeding time is due. Having problem is not the worst. The customer support does not acknowledge that I bought this when I sought support, even I gave my amazon order details in a screenshot. Poor product and service. I am going to figure out how to complain with Amazon. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable.
