We love this series. We have this and the physics ones (astro physics for babies, optical physics, statistical physics). I wish they would make a quantum mechanics for babies book.

We are big science lovers in our household, so this book made learning fun! My kids love reading it and it makes the topics interesting for them. I love this series of books and hope to collect them all.

Have friends who are PhD chemists with a new 6 month-old. I firmly believe reading to babies is a wonderful practice. Ergo, got Baby a book Mom and Dad could enjoy as a wonderful joke if nothing else. There are several other "egg head" titles in the series. I'd say all would be excellent. The science is barebones perfect and presented in such a way that Dad/Mom can put a personal intonation and pronunciation on the words as they read, turning "read time" into play time. As Baby matures, she'll be able to look at the illustrations as Mom/Dad read aloud. All sorts of new learning opportunities will pop up for years to come. Kudos to the writers.

I bought this for my grandson because I work in chemistry and he actually loves listening to this book. It is so cute and he loves it.

Big fan of the STEM Learning books for babies. We bought these for our great niece. She's two and is all over "learning." These books are a nice addition to her collection

We bought this board book for our not yet born grandson. We will read it to him when he is 1-3 years old. Right now, we can read it. This book simplifies Organic as far as you possibly can. It uses simple language and colorful illustrations to give the reader an idea of what organic chemistry is. Basically, atoms are balls of different kinds. Atoms make up everything. Atoms can stick to each other, and they can make different shapes. The balls we call carbon (in black) can stick to small white balls called hydrogen and other balls called oxygen. We call those organic molecules, and they make up plants, food, and medicines. I think this is simple enough for a 1–3-year-old to understand, but not a baby. In my opinion, a better name for this series would have been “for Big Boys or Girls” rather than babies, because young children don’t like being called babies.

I am very much aware that these books are geared towards young children hence the cardboard pages and the information is good but feel that they could have done a better job with some of the pictures in terms of description and especially when it came to transferring to the more realistic hydrogen molecule set up. It seems to go from bulls and atoms to almost functional chemistry without giving the parents a good enough range of understanding to explain the change in pictures! It also feels like quality in detail of the pictures could be better given the price, I understand that you don't want ultra realistic pictures in kids books but there would be no harm in showing real every day objects. I would suggest that these books are geared for 3-year-olds and up rather than the babies as suggested on the cover due to their nature.

I have bought these series books as gifts. Have been loved by all ( child and parent). Bought for my friends chemist husband to have at their home when grandbaby comes to visit. They love it.

Loved this book, its a good basic breakdown of organic chemistry. Something a little different for me when reading to my baby and hopefully sparks a future science interest.

Je suis devenu un vrai fan de ces livres, tout comme mon fils. Bien qu'il soit encore un peu jeune pour en profiter pleinement, ils commencent très simplement et je suis convaincu qu'ils l'aideront à travers les premières étapes de la scolarité. Chaque livre de la série part du même point conceptuel d'une «balle», quelque chose auquel la plupart des enfants peuvent s'identifier, et dans la plupart des cas, vous pouvez en trouver un autour de la maison pour aider à visualiser davantage le contenu. La fin du livre peut être un peu complexe même pour les adultes mais cela n'empêche pas mon fils de m'aimer essayer d'expliquer ce qui se passe. Although he is still a bit young to fully enjoy them, they start very simple, and I am convinced they will help him through the early stages of schooling. Each book in the series starts from the same concept point of a “ball” , something that most children can relate to, and in most cases you can find one around the house to help further visualize the content. The ending of the book can be a bit complex even for the adults but that doesnt stop my son from loving me try to explain what is happening. I fully recommend this book and the others in the series to any parent or guardian.
