Q: Are the replacement bulbs expensive?

It is not a bulb, it is an LED.

Q: Will it work with the nightstick helment mount?

There are several helmet mounts but there is no mount for this unit. Look at the xpp-5418 series.

Q: Can this use rechargeable AA batteries?

With other batteries than prescribed in the manual the Nightstick no longer meets to the certification conditions. It is possible but in a ATEX or Ex environment not recommended.
