A Pwnagotchi is born
This is a great e-ink display. For the price, I don’t think you could find much better. I do get the “ghosting” or “burn in” that people are describing/complaining about but it’s not that big of an issue for me. (To explain, “ghosting” or “burn in” is when the display still clearly shows whatever was displayed last before the screen powered off). It happens just about every time, but goes away as soon as the display is powered on again and refreshes/updates itself. The picture I included is of the Waveshare 2.13” connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, and a PiSugar S mounted on the other side of the Pi. (A Pwnagotchi, for those who know). Would definitely recommend for any project that calls for an e-ink display. Also, for anyone looking at this specifically to build a Pwnagotchi, a plugin is available that fixes the “ghosting” effect.

Awesome little screens
Awesome quality! I've been working with some knockoff versions for a while. Finally got tired of it and upgraded to the real deal and I'm so glad I did. These just work!

Works perfectly on 0w2 boards
Both worked perfectly. It was harder to fully seat the GPIO pins than I expected, but I figure it's more secure that way. I did drop one down a flight of concrete stairs by accident, and the screen somehow survived several bounces on the way down.

No lemonade!
Feels like I’m always buying ESPs and Displays and half the time, I end up with a lemon. This time, I got two nice pepper Displays that worked like a charm! I’m delighted. Happiness is in the paper Display 🥳

Just what I needed.
The screen worked with no issues. The display is easy to use on the PI. The quality appears to be good. Overall excellent product.

Easy to use and a perfect fit
Another home-run from waveshare. I own three of their displays and they all work effortlessly. This one perfectly fits on top of a pi zero. Make sure your pi zero comes with headers!

It works
Worked for with the raspi zero for my project

Recommended for any battery operated IoT device
Very efficient light weight displays. One of the nicest things is, from a devs point of view, if the system loses power you can still see the last thing displayed.

Fascinating technology
I bought these for two Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W single board computers. They fit very firmly on the GPIO pins on the board. Don't expect to remove them because it is extremely difficult and you can damage them easily. I removed mine to apply heat sinks to the Pis and neither of them work anymore. They are fragile. I would recommend using the provided wire harness rather than the GPIO pins if you plan on disconnecting and reconnecting. Otherwise, these are fantastic displays and a very cool technology.

Great e-ink hat!
Works well for low power consumption projects. Especially handy if you're not looking for lots of refreshes. Integrates well and straightforward config for a lot of different projects.

Compact and Efficient E-Ink Display for Projects
I specifically ordered these E-Ink displays for my Raspberry Pi. The displays are super simple and compact. They have an SPI interface, which makes them easy to work with. And you are not locked into just Raspberry Pis. You can use these with some other microcontrollers like Arduino boards, Nvidia Jetson, etc. What's interesting about these black-and-white displays is that they retain the last image even when powered off. I found that to be useful. Depending on your application, say if you are updating some sensor values every 5 minutes or even more frequently, you can keep these displays off, then turn them on momentarily, update them, and then turn them off again. This way, you retain the last data on the screen while minimizing power consumption. This is great, especially if you are running a portable device or running on battery and want to have longer use out of your battery. There's also a partial refresh feature, which is handy when you need to update small sections without flickering the whole screen. Although I would have liked a faster refresh speed, there's nothing wrong with the current speed. They have a lot of information online, which is very useful. I think these are great e-ink displays. I only wish they were a bit cheaper, but overall, it is a great product.

1 from 2 worked
Glad I got two… first one is broken before use… now crack in screen or anything but the second one works fine.
