Awesome little native inference module for the price, and with out-of-the-box model uploads.
Its very inexpensive, uses very little power, and despite not having much experience with CV AI models, there are a ton of models on the site they list that you can literally upload from their website's tool and have something running in like 30 min. It clearly has support for XIAO form-factor mcu's, and I can imagine a lot of cool projects you can come up with given the options on that platform. The only downside I see is the accessibility of the pins once connected, but you can get creative and solder something to the top side of the pins or something. I don't think you can beat the performance for the price IMO.

Not updatable hardware. Seems to be broken.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend. after hours and hours of work, I still cannot get the unit to connect to my Seeed XIAO SAMD21. When going to the SenseCraft site, I still cannot update the hardware. It's stuck in an old version. The module only seems to partially work with the SC website. Even after following all the instructions on the SC site, the module will NOT update to detect anything other than a face. Hardware does not flash.

Not good enough
You will have to lower your expectations for this one. The company showed demos of reliable object detection even on a moving platform, such as the “face tracking fan”, and after many days of tweaks, I can say this chip is simply unsuitable for such a use case. The models are simply far too unreliable. At high confidence configurations, it will simply miss anything but a perfectly shaped, positioned, and illuminated face. At lower confidence, elbows and shadows on walls become faces. Bounding boxes are highly inaccurate, and jittery, bouncing back and forth, and growing in strange directions for moments. This might be suitable for a device that works on stationary objects that intentionally position themselves, but not in the real world.
