Does the toy part have faux fur or just feathers? My kitten gets all crazy and growly with faux fur toys.

I don't believe this is a good toy for your cat unless you are watching them while they play with it. Our cat had chewed off the elastic band within 5 seconds and had swallowed a good length before I could run to stop her.

Replacement parts? Anyone had success in finding replacement parts for this? Cat LOVES it, but chewed through the elastic in 20 minutes...

Our cat has nearly chewed through the plastic attachment for the spider. If I could get the string and spider I think I could retie the string to the loop on the metal post.

I couldn't find a way to contact the seller, but can you ashure me the bird will be blue? Hoping to ask other customers what color they received?

I bought three of this toy. For all three the bird was blue with pink, green, and yellow feathers. This has been one of my cats favorite toys, kittens especially.

So what is the benefit of getting this versus just an elastic string toy tied directly to the doorknob?

I suppose it would be a personal choice. Give that a try! I was looking for something to entertain my cat while I work long hours. This was the toy she got the most use out of!
