I suppose the real question is this: how much do you like popcorn? This is a very well-built home popcorn kettle that gives really good results. I bought it with the kits and they work well. The price is, obviously, on the high end, but it's great at what it's built for.

I feel that the Popsmith 6 Quart Stovetop Popcorn Machine is overpriced. Not only that, but very heavy to handle, especially when cleaning. I understand that the stainless steel pot is much more sturdy and heat resistant than the standard aluminum poppers by other companies. It doesn't pop any better than other popcorn poppers (I have 6 other poppers to compare with, both oil and non-oil kind). I would recommend you purchase an air-popper brand because it is less messy than the poppers where you must use coconut oil to pop. If anyone wants my recommendations, just let me know. Save your money and spend about $45.00 for the aluminum popcorn popper or simply purchase any decent air-pop popcorn popper.

Gifted this popcorn maker to my adult son for his birthday January, 2025. He wanted a popper with no aluminum or plastic that you did not use in a microwave. This popper was the only one that met his requirements. Continues to work well after 20 months. It is expensive, yes. It is heavy, yes. But it's easy to clean. Probably has paid for itself by now since he uses coconut oil and Amish popping corn. That's it. He's happy knowing that there's no aluminum or plastic in what he feeds his family. Having such a positive experience, I would buy again.

Just got my starter kit today. it was so well packaged and really a beautiful machine. I thought the starter kit included 5 packs of Oh So Butter Flavor and 5 packs of Kettle Corn but mine came with 10 packs of Butter flavor and no Kettlecorn. Disappointed that I will now have to order it separately to try it.
