I'm after something almost exactly like this but with micro usb male and female on the ends... do you guys know of any?

its just a MICO extention fully avalible on Amazon

Why does this not work with a google play stick? it loads, then it powers off?

I'M afraid I can't help you as I use it with a HD Projector with a 10 metre cable run with no proplems, i can only think that it is not compatible with the google play stick, sorry.

Is this compatible with a 4k firestick?

We're using it with a NowTV stick and it works perfectly.

Can I use this to connect my PS4 to my laptop?

Dear Customer, This HDMI cable is a standard HDMI male to standard HDMI female cable. If your Laptop has a standard hdmi port. This cable can connect your PS4 to your laptop, but usually another male to male hdmi cable is needed. We hope this information can help . Best Regards VCELINK
