Is this for left handed people?

I'm left-handed. When I received it, the handle was on the right. There's no screws or anything to move the handle to the other side. It's just one solid piece. I returned it. Fortunately, the replacement had the handle on the left.

What is the durability of the markings on this cup? Several years again there were complaints that the markings washed off pretty quickly.

I have had this GLASS measuring cup for six months. I use it in the microwave nearly every morning to heat the water for my single serve coffee. I frequently wash it in the dishwasher. So far the markings are just fine. This is the third measuring cup I have tried and the only one whose markings endured with use.
