A Great Addition to my Asus Router
I have a multi-story house, and the wifi signal on some levels was not good. I purchased the EBA63 to improve the coverage on those levels. My main router is a reasonably modern Asus GT-AX6000. The EBA63 works well as an AP for the GT-AX6000 using Asus's AIMesh feature. The router and AP are connected with gigabit Ethernet, so the EBA63 uses Ethernet for backhaul. My devices typically reach 300Mbps to 600Mbps when connected to the AP. It can be even faster if the client device is next to the AP. It has been running for two weeks and is stable. The client devices are able to roam seamlessly. I cannot comment about this AP with other networking ecosystems because I have not tested those scenarios, but with Asus AIMesh, it works well. The setup was not too complex, but here are a few issues I encountered and the solutions I found. -I have heard claims that using a web browser to configure the EBA63 is possible, but I couldn't get that to work. I used the app. -The EBA63 was defaulting to wireless backhaul even though it had access to Ethernet. When it was in wireless backhaul mode, the throughput was halved. I had to go into the app and manually set the backhaul priority. Pressing the "Diagnosis" button in the app seemed to reset this preference. -I use it with POE. I was replacing an older AP that used a passive POE injector. The EBA63 does not support passive POE (I tested it). I replaced the injector with a more modern 802.3at injector, and the AP worked. I think ASUS claims that the EBA63 supports PoE and PoE+ standards. -I updated the firmware early in the setup process. This might have helped me avoid some of the issues reported by other users.

Great AiMesh AP
Excellent coverage, fast and easy installation. There are two ways of mouting it, it has two slotted holes which has the same spacing as a standard electrical gang box, or it comes with a T-bar bracket. Adding it to my AiMesh network was super easy with POE. I have installed it over 4 months ago and havent had a single issue since.

Work great with ASUS wireless router
I needed an AP)in my garage for my garage door opener, as it has a very weak Wi-Fi antenna. I currently use an ASUS wireless router and a NETGEAR WAX214v2, both set with the same SSID as the main router. While it works fine 90% of the time, the issue is that sometimes my devices get "stuck" on the AP and don’t disconnect to reconnect with the main router for a stronger signal. I really wanted to control which devices connect to which access point and adjust the roaming threshold, but that’s not possible with the NETGEAR AP. Additionally, I needed a PoE-capable AP since I don’t have room for an extra power adapter. ASUS didn’t offer a PoE access point until this summer when this product was released. I’m super happy with my purchase! It was easy to set up as an AiMesh node, and now I can manage which devices connect to which access point. It works incredibly well, and I highly recommend it if you need a PoE AP that integrates seamlessly with an ASUS wireless router.

Easy to add as AImesh node
Added to an Asus RT-AX88U as a mesh node. Literally took 5 minutes and 4.5 of that was waiting for it to establish connection and update firmware. Adds pretty reasonable range, although speed drops off pretty quick as you get further away. It might be because I'm using POE and it doesn't have the power it might have if it was plugged in. Right under it I get About 800mbps over a cat6e 1gb port. Overall, totally satisfied at this price point. 1st and only PoE AP Asus developed, so it's your only option for an AImesh poe ap.

Customer service is terrible
The router and wifi node seem good quality and the router was easy to set up. Getting the node to connect for wifi was a problem, which dragged out over four weeks with customer service and a waste of 2-4 hours of my time.!! So, this is really a review about ASUS customer service. It is slow and poorly designed. I was forced to go through 4 different layers of escalation with a week in between each contact before the VERY simple password problem was solved. So simple that the first person I called should have been easily qualified to fix it. The whole structure of ASAS customer service needs to be revamped. You can't be escalated on the same call.... so weeks go by!! Rating: Negative stars if they were available.

Easy! Works great!
Easy setup! Wired or wireless. If one fails it will switch over on its own.

Stable, Fast, and Stress-Free
I have super fast internet at home, but I like having control—great Wi-Fi coverage where I want it and plenty of Ethernet ports for my wired gadgets. That’s why I use a wired router with a separate wireless access point. Over the years, I’ve tried all kinds of gear, but reliability was always the problem. Every so often I’d find myself rebooting something—the router, the access point, or both. It was so frustrating! Everything would run perfectly… until it didn’t. Then I discovered Asus’s new ExpertWiFi line, made for people who actually care about stable networks. I picked up the Asus EBG19P gigabit router and the EBA63 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point, and they’ve been fantastic. It’s been five months, and I haven’t had to reboot once. On the rare occasion a device drops off, it reconnects automatically within minutes. The mobile app is another pleasant surprise—it makes managing everything quick and painless. Honestly, this setup just works. My network is fast, stable, and drama-free. My sanity has been restored. Thanks, Asus.

Pretty good connectivity and coverage, but sometimes random stability issues
This has good connectivity and signal strength. The user interface is somewhat easy to use if you have a little networking experience, but this may be difficult to set up if you are just getting into computer networking. I was (and still am) having occasionally stability issues. You can schedule reboots through the user interface, but occasionally it has a kernel panic at random (regardless of a fresh reboot) and goes offline, so you have to power cycle it. I've flashed to the latest firmware and rolled back to previous firmware with mixed results.
