An Eternal Grip Strengthener, Spend The Money and Never Buy Another
The quality on this strength trainer is phenomenal. It’s mostly metal, the silicone grip is soft and helpful, the adjustable options are amazing, and the stand makes it almost an ornament or decoration in a room. The power this thing holds is insane too! It goes real high and I know I can train with this for a LONG time. I have no worries about it breaking in my hands like cheaper, louder grips. This one is smooth, quiet, and powerful. If you want a quality grip strength training too, this one has 5/5 quality for sure and is worth the money.

Amazing quality, amazing versatility. Must buy for grip training enthusiasts
Just unboxed this and tried it out, so this is an initial review. The quality of this gripper is phenomenal. Definitely a well made piece. Puts competitors to shame, which is fairly hard to do given the simplicity of what hand grippers are. 1) it’s silent. I have several Captains of Crush grippers and they develop a squeak that can get annoying. 2) Decent range of difficulty. This replaces the Captains of Crush Guide through the 1.5. 3) Easily adjustable. I have other adjustable grippers with wider range, but they involve moving two heavy springs to random spots. Those spots aren’t indicated and usually require an internet search to determine what the resulting difficulty amounts to. But, they lack other adjustments.... 4) adjustable width. The gripper can be adjusted to hand size. My CoC grippers are just past the limit of comfort for my medium hands. This becomes an issue when progressing up a difficulty level. I find myself with a weird angle in my wrist. This leads to wrist pain that eventually starts to negatively affect my grip training and other exercises (think bicep curls). This is a HUGE improvement for me. 5) In-line handles. Has a better feel AND helps prevent the angling of the wrist I mentioned. 6) The handles themselves feel great. Plenty of texture for traction but the actual checkering isn’t sharp. New Captain of Crush grippers usually have a sharp texture that’s rough on hands until you break them in. I work in the medical field so keeping my hands relatively smooth is appreciated. Not to mention potentially compromising my skins integrity can put me at risk in said environment. This is a great gripper that replaces six $20 grippers if you use CoC grippers. The handles can also be adjusted down by removing set screws. This givens a little more leverage when working on going from one stage to the next. Definitely worth every penny at $50. If you’re big into grip training you owe it to yourself to try this gripper. Unless something changes this is replacing my beloved CoC grippers

Solid Build Quality
I’ve used many hand grippers in the past, and every single one eventually broke, either the spring snapped or the grip wore out. So, I was looking for a reliable, branded option and found this one. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but I ordered it anyway, and honestly, I’m impressed. The build quality is solid, and it even comes with a holder, which is surprisingly useful. A few things to keep in mind before buying: This thing is heavy. I’m a healthy, average‑built person, and I still can’t get past the lowest setting yet (I’m sure I will eventually). The coarse aluminum grip is rough on the hands, so you might want silicone covers or sleeves. This is real exercise equipment, not a toy or a simple stress‑relief gadget. Overall, it’s a serious, well‑built gripper that feels like it will last forever !.

Masterpiece!
The best grippers I've ever used, by far. Solid build, excellent ergonomics, straightforward adjustments. The price is high, but justified. I started with a pair of the 90s, but found I didn't need the extension or the extra 22lbs. of resistance (I should have listened to other reviewers who said as much). These offer much more resistance at their 84lbs setting than a far cheaper adjustable plastic gripper at its supposed 80lbs., so bear that in mind if you're testing cheaper ones at a box store to determine the max resistance you need like I did. I did not test either to determine the accuracy of their given settings' poundage. Just know that these grippers are harder than one other new cheaper pair. Other reviewers write that they've had similar experiences. Finally, the lowest setting (55lbs) matches the resistance on my old gripper in the picture that's been well used for about 10 years. After a brief test, I returned the 90s thru Motofitusa & Amazon easily and only had to pay return shipping (around $6 FL to NY). I then got a pair of the the 80 Lights on prime day for nearly $10 off each, saving roughly $53 total. On both the 90 and 80 Light, the knurling is the same and ideal: small crosshatch size matches the exercise (for example, dumbbell knurling is a larger and deeper crosshatch and barbells sometimes are even larger and deeper than the dumbbell knurling). I had a much better grip on the 80s than my old plastic grippers, and it did not hurt my hands or damage my skin. Lastly, there is a good jump in resistance levels, but I plan to further break the 6 levels of resistance into 18 levels using the 3 levels of grip size. If I can't do the largest grip size at the next highest resistance level, I'll simply close the grip size to the smallest setting, simultaneously increasing the leverage of my grip and reducing the range of motion in order to complete the exercise. As strength grows, I'll increase the grip size to the medium level and finally the largest level, and then repeat for the next resistance level--pretty straightforward progressive strength training. Thanks again to Motofitusa for a stellar product.

One of the best grippers!
This is a great quality gripper! Heavy build but sturdy and will last a lifetime. Easy to use and to adjust between resistances. I am up to 75 lbs. after a month, working to get up another notch for 10+ reps. I don't foresee getting to point where the resistance is below my strength. Grip is knurled so it can be a bit uncomfortable. I added the padded grip to these, very well worth it. Straight bars are still a bit awkward at times, but that may just be me. Well worth the higher price, my trust in the other options out there was slim so glad I paid the extra for these!

Extremely Good.
I got both the GD80 and GD90 because I couldn't find a comparison anywhere. The reality is: 1- GD90 has more metal and just feels better on the hand. The spring is considerably stronger. (More details below) 2- GD90 comes with a stand and extensions (not needed unless you have really big hands or want specific exercises) Now, lest discuss. These hand grippers are really good, in fact, they are excellent. I've used CoC for years and these feel just as solid while being able to have multiple pressures in one unit, a welcome change to carrying around 2 or 3 grippers before. The knurling on these is softer than CoC as well. I also appreciate you can choose the width because everyone on my family can use these. Why choose the GD90? Because you want the stronger metal or want the whole package, honestly? For 97% of people the GD80 is the way to go!

Finally, a Grip Exerciser That's Well-Designed and Well-Made
In the gym, for most of my training that involves pulling, I use lifting straps because otherwise the grip is the weakest link in terms of poundage used. It's not that I have a weak grip; it's just that the major muscles of the back (or glutes, quads, and hamstrings for deadlifts) are a heckuva lot larger and more powerful than muscles like the flexor digitorum profundis and flexor pollicis longus in the forearm that are involved in gripping. Because of that, I've ended up with a collection of various standalone grip exercise devices that I can use a few times a week while sitting in the recliner and watching Prime Video (shameless plug) in the evenings. Most of those options are either fairly flimsy or very poorly calibrated in terms of resistance. For example, I have one set of traditional coiled spring grips where the 200 lb and 250 lb versions are completely indistinguishable. The GD Iron Grip is a phenomenal design. At first, I thought it was going to be too difficult to change the resistance and/or the length of travel. A few minutes with the user manual and practicing the procedures a couple of times and both adjustments are an absolute breeze that can be done in about 5 seconds. And the unit is built like a tank. The dual, high-torsion springs will no doubt last decades, and the resistance settings feel like the real deal. The 141 lb setting feels about like the aforementioned 250-lb coiled spring grip, and I can't effectively use the 198 lb setting yet. Unlike a bunch of other home-use exercise equipment I've bought, this one is worth every penny.

Longtime grip-trainer
This is the type of review I kind of feel bad about writing because the vast majority of my grip strength comes from another company's products. I own Captains of Crush grippers, even their Imtug and a couple of their Zenith grippers but it is a hassle to keep up with them, store them, etc... I am certified on Captains of Crush #3 but I never use it for workouts. I can get around 5 reps with the 2.5. The 2 is where I can go to 12. The GD Iron Grip Ext 90 covers the range of the Captains of Crush "Guide" gripper to the #2. Seeing those are the ones I do workouts with it's all I need. An added bonus with the Ext 90 are the extensions you can connect to the handles. It includes an Allen wrench and two extensions with two bolts. If you have wide hands like I do, you find yourself fighting to keep your pinkie on the gripper. The extension fixes that. It's not only good for strength in all fingers but it also allows you to train your pinkie which is a very important finger in heavy weightlifting and grip competition. This set unlike the GD 70 and below is made of cast, knurled metal. I know knurling isn't for everyone. I personally prefer it. It takes away the soft hands/palms. One thing I was interested in the way you change the weight/resistance. It's much easier than I expected. If you look at the picture of the gripper there a is a tab towards the back of it. You put the slightest pressure on it and squeeze the handles just a little. It unlocks it and you can slide the resistance up and down. Once you squeeze it again, it locks in on the new weight. I was surprised at the quality of this item. There hasn't been even a slight squeak from the spring. It's an excellent product for those, especially, that are already strong in the grip area but could be used on the lowest tension by beginners too. Well worth the price to be able to have the equivalent of multiple grippers in one easy to use device.

Robuste !

AMAZING DEVICE
Absolutely incredible purchase. The handles are incredibly sturdy, this thing was built to last. But it’s almost mandatory to get the tape with it as the abrasive metal is too course for most hands. Super easy to change weight for it as well!

Excellent Quality
Very well made, easy adjustments, and silent operation. I really like the included stand. I set the hand gripper in the stand on my office desk and it reminds me to use the gripper throughout the day. Otherwise, as the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind. The knurling in the handle is quite uncomfortable and taping is advised. I suggest using the handle extenders and taping to within 1.5 inches from the handle bottom. Otherwise, the stand cannot be used. The tape that is specifically sold for this device is very expensive. For now, I have used hockey tape, but a little more cushion would be better. I may try the tennis racket tape that I have somewhere around the house. My only wish is that the gripper have one tension level below the minimum of 25 kg. 25 kg is already quite firm and a lower tension would be better if one hand is recovering from an injury. Other than that, it seems to be a very well-made and well designed device.

Prima product
Met dit apparaat doe je geen miskoop. Oer degelijk uitgevoerd en met genoeg weerstand voor de sterksten onder ons. Ik ben blij met dit apparaat en kan me niet voorstellen dat het geen jaren en jaren mee gaat.
