Was looking for a non-aluminum moka pot, having accidentally purchased an aluminum one (which seem the most common here). The metal is stainless steel, seems very good quality. Being steel, I have less worry about any metal leaching into the drink if left on longer on the stove. Good price too. Note the 6-cups advertised are espresso shot size. For a cup of coffee, think Americano so make it strong and then add more hot water.

Like this pot. Does not overflow when hot coffee is done brewing. The color of the base changed after usage for a few months with a gas stovetop. So it’s not brute and shiny.

I usually don't write reviews but I just thought this was very unsanitary and maddening that people will sell items like this. The pictures attached are in the following order: first order placed I received this with scratches and stains as shown in the pictures. Apparently it was used. It does have an option to purchase the used product but I opted for a new one. Contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement without an issue. I received the new one, have only used it one week and it's burnt on the outside and rust on the inside. The filter is burn as well. The top part is the only one that apparently is stainless still and is in good condition. I use this item on a glass stovetop on a medium temperature. The pictures of the small stovetop expresso maker I have had for almost a year and is still in perfect conditions and it is stainless steel. That's why I decided to purchase a bigger one because that small works great. (It was store bought not off of here) but stores don't have big ones only small sizes. I will definitely be returning this. I thought I would leave a review with pictures so you can stay away from this item.

This is a review of the 12 cup version of this item. We purchased it hoping to replace a 10 year old 12 cup Bialetti moka pot whose handle broke. The build quality of this product seems good. However, the capacity of the basket which holds the coffee grounds is surprisingly small. Our 12 cup Bialetti holds 53 grams of ground coffee whereas this 12 cup only accommodates 32 grams of ground coffee. Surprisingly, the filter basket in this 12 cup pot is the exact same size as the 9-cup Godmorn moka pot we have. The stem is just longer. As shown in the picture, the filter basket for this moka pot fits completely inside the filter basket for the bialetti. This moka pot holds 30 oz/ 900 ml of water and brews 24 oz / 750 ML of coffee compared to 24 oz /700 ML input and 20 oz/ 600 ML brewed volume in the Bialetti. Overall the bialetti makes a more concentrated brew by far. Someone who hasn't used a Bialetti may not notice the difference, but this isn't going to work for our preference. It also is harder to clean inside the brew chamber and harder to avoid decanting fine residual grounds into your coffee mug at the end of the pour.

Works faster than it's aluminum counter part. I like this better and will be recommending it to my coffee lover friends.

Works great and the volume is enough for your morning coffee needs
