Excellent Value--Durable, Thick Walled Beakers
I studied science in college and took a lot of chemistry. I just received my 1000mL beaker and I'm very happy with it. It's just as thick and sturdy as I remember the beakers being in my college labs. I'll be using this for skincare formulations--it will be heated to about 160 degrees Fahrenheit regularly. If I have a problem, I'll update, but I don't anticipate having any issues. The glass is thick and the beaker arrived without a flaw. You do have to be careful when selecting beakers because there is a ton of thin-walled and very fragile glassware on the marketplace. You can't go wrong with this brand, however. This is my second beaker from United Scientific and both have arrived unblemished and of a similar sturdiness. I'm glad to have found it so I don't have to save for the much pricier Corning PYREX glassware. I feel this is of similar quality and an excellent value. These are made in India. Now, I have seen a LOT of reviews of beakers lately and I just have to say this: beakers are NOT measuring devices. The markings on the side of a beaker are approximate. If you want or need precision you MUST measure using either weight (a scale) or a graduated cylinder which measures volume. These are the tools you use to measure in science--not beakers. So quite posting that your beakers aren't accurate. They aren't meant to be. I don't know why--I just know that's the way it is. If you intend to mix things inside a beaker, you should probably get one much larger than the volume you intend to mix--because the stated volume is usually to the top.

Appear to be pretty good. Used for sourdough starter. Previous broke when stirred vigorously.

Thick and Sturdy
This is the second beaker I have purchased from this seller. I make bath and skin products and this holds up so well melting butters in a double boiler. I will purchase again if I need more. The size is great for larger batches.

Works - but definitely higher quality and more affordable options if you have better sources.
If amazon is your only option and you need something ASAP these are definitely going to work. Can withstand heat and I have had them last for up to a year of fairly standard lab work before noticing them deteriorating. That said they are expensive and I have been able to source thicker and far less expensive per piece options when ordered from trusted vendors outside the US.
