I don’t know why I didn’t buy this sooner!!!! Every Toyota owners that has the cartridge style oil filter needs this. So much easier to complete an oil change and reduces your chances of making a mess. This is a game changer and it’s built well! You can throw away those fragile little drain plugs that come with the filter and control the oil leaving the cartridge with this easily.

I bought this set after seeing it recommended for oil changes on my Toyota Tundra. The filter wrench fit exactly on the filter canister, making it very easy to remove the canister. However, the wrench become stuck on the canister and there was almost nothing I could do to remove it. I finally took everything to my work bench, put a large screwdriver down the middle and hammered it off. I had already tried prying it off with a screwdriver, but it took hammering it to remove it. This made me very concerned with using it to reinstall the filter canister. As it happened, I was replacing the stock, plastic canister with an aluminum one. I found that the wrench works much better with the metal canister and it was easy to wiggle it off after using it. So, beware if you plan to use this on the plastic canister. At least make sure the plastic canister is as clean as possible before using the wrench (and maybe even try applying a little oil around the base of the canister). If you have a metal canister, then I would recommend using this wrench without concerns. As to the drain tool, no complaints whatsoever. It worked great. Completely drained the oil filter without spilling oil everywhere. Overall, I'm glad I bought these tools and am hoping the wrench will not give me problems in the future.

This tool fits as intended and is made very well if you order the kit like I did you get the drain hose fitting that makes it a clean job no more oil all over.

Super quality in manufacturing on both pieces. The drain piece is so much better than the plastic push in one that comes with the filter, no getting oil on your arm, etc. If you do your own oil changes, save yourself some time and aggravation and get this kit. I would also recommend the factory Toyota metal filter cap sold on Amazon. Just remember you need your old drain plug and also, you have to swap out the short tube with the longer tube and spring from your old unit. If you don't, your filter will collapse. Lastly, get yourself a Fumoto valve. Once you have all this, it will make your oil changes on your Tundra a lot easier.

I don't love the price, but the quality is there. Overall I think it's a worthwhile purchase. Filter drain hose is a little long, but easily cut down. If you're like me and had previously taken your taco to the dealership, you will likely be equally disappointed to find that they just rattle gunned your oil filter housing on. If so, make sure you clean any dirt that might Bind and then put a little oil around where the filter tool mounts. Definitely use a socket, not the quarter inch driver, if it hasn't previously been torqued on to spec.

Very friendly and useful tools

The took works great. Nice friction fit. The house however feel Fore trouble than it's worth for what I'm doing. Especially when the Toyota filter kit comes with a dispose drain. Which you can attach any hose to. If you're just doing your own oil change into a pan then just get the standalone tool without the hose.
