Making an Almost Perfect Headstrap PERFECT for the Oculus Quest 3!
So, we all know the stock strap is complete garbage and the most uncomfortable thing on this earth. After extensive research across numerous brands, it seems pretty much more or less like the best choices we all have for owners of Quests 2 and 3 is either: 1) the elite strap upgrade from meta 2) Kiwi Headstrap models 3) Bobo S2 / S3 models Whereas the elite strap upgrade from meta is definitely a step up from the stock strap, it still was lacking for better overall comfort for me, so I narrowed it down between the Kiwi brand and the Bobo brand. Here is why I ended up choosing the Bobo S3 pro and after running into a common issue of the halo design and cog tightening wheel often coming loose everytime you looked top far up or down, I STILL decided it was the best Headstrap for me after adjusting some tweaks. PROS -Honestly amazing comfort, I've tried quite a few headstraps and for me the Bobo S3 is great. I like how you can customize the Headstrap to more or less fit your head, it really helps take off the pressure points compared to the stock model. -One of the main reasons I got this, Hot swap batteries!! The 10000mah batteries for this are great, and the magnetic connecting makes it seamless to take on and off and swap for another one. One battery and your headset gets 5 hours playing even the most intense demanding games. I bought an extra so can always charge one while I play with the other. -Cooling fan option, this was a neat little bonus I did not expect to want or need, and for most games, I will never use it, but for more intensive exercise games, it is a nice little touch to feel air blowing on your forehead for sure. Some people have complained of the noise, but I keep it between 50-70% and I barely notice it. CONS -The main problem most users have reported with this Headstrap, is the fact the cog wheel on the back used to tighten the Headstrap often comes loose Everytime you look up and down, causing your entire headstrap to start moving off your head and makes you need to constantly reposition when playing games that use these movement constantly. NOTE: I have figured out a way to reduce this cog wheel from ever coming loose and it has completely fixed this issue. See attached video where I just used a Velcro strap to tighten it after adjusting on my head. Literally night and day difference!! Search "Velcro strap for duty vest / armor best / molle vest" or something to that nature and you will find plenty options for relatively cheap. -some users report the two upper pads are uncomfortable on their head, I personally like these, but they are completely removable and he Headstrap is secure just the same, tbh you don't even need them at all, I just like the additional support personally but thought I'd mention it for anyone wondering. -weight, some users say it is a little too heavy, however I find with the Headstrap on with a battery, it almost perfectly counter balances the quest 3 headset itself, so to me I think this is a PLUS, I just had to include this in my review as well to be thorough. CONCLUSION -I think the fact Bobo has a swappable battery option, and has excellent comfort, and in my opinion, the battery system is better than the kiwi because of it being swappable and never needing to take the headset off to keep using another battery. The main issue where the Headstrap comes loose for users can be rectified using a Velcro strap for $5 on Amazon. Trust me you'll not regret it. All in all, AMAZING Headstrap upgrade for someone looking for good battery life extension, ease of battery swapping instantaneously, and doesn't mind spending an extra $5 and an extra 5 seconds adjusting the Velcro strap on the cog wheel Everytime you put your Headstrap on.

Comfortable and convenient charging
Bobovr S3 Pro Strap is well worth buying. Way more comfortable than the stock strap, and very convenient in charging using the battery packs. Strap is easy to take on and off. Fits nicely on my head and the turn knob is easy to use when adjusting the tightness of the strap. S3 Pro doesn't feel heavy to me and fits balanced on my head although this may be dependent person to person. It also comes with a builtin fan which is great when you're in longer VR sessions

Worth every penny
Worth it. The fan on the strap helps keep my head cool when playing. I love how easily you can swap batteries to keep playing. Installing it was easy. The quality it top-notch. It's comfortable and I can wear it for hours with no fatigue or soreness.

Top most comfortable HU
I’ve tried close to a dozen different head straps—both with and without battery packs—and none of them ever felt truly comfortable. After seeing this one mentioned repeatedly, I decided to give it a shot when it went on sale (11% off). There was a small delivery issue at first, but once that was resolved, I got everything set up. Initial impressions were a bit confusing. I connected the magnetic battery pack (which attaches very securely) and tried turning on the fan—nothing happened. The battery indicator showed 3 out of 4 bars, so I expected at least some power. After fully charging the battery and trying again, the fan kicked on—and wow. Even at 50%, it was incredibly strong. That’s when I started to feel optimistic about the purchase. Once I put it on, I could immediately tell this was different from the others I’ve tried. I swapped out the default bottom foam for the included silicone mesh pad, which works much better for me (especially with a shaved/bald head). While it is slightly heavier than some of the ultra-light straps I’ve used, the added weight actually helps balance the Meta Quest 3 really well. The overall design just feels well thought out. Comfort-wise, this is easily one of the best I’ve used. During use, I let my headset battery run down completely, then connected it to the strap’s battery pack. The headset charged back up surprisingly quickly. Afterward, I checked the battery pack and it still had 3 out of 4 bars remaining—even with the fan running the entire time. That’s impressive efficiency. It’s also very easy to use, with a simple single-button control that doubles as a dial. If you’ve struggled to find a comfortable and functional head strap, this one is absolutely worth trying.

New VR Enjoyer
I never had nor tried VR until I received a Meta Quest 3, and after some research on accessories to improve the experience between this and NordLab's headstrap, I ultimately decided on this one and can't be more happier. Installation - It was pretty easy to remove the original MQ3 strap (the front may grip a bit with the Velcro, but just tug enough and it'll come off.) Adjust the S3 side alignments and everything should slide on with ease. Fit & Connectivity - Very comfortable. I did have to go with the added honeycomb strap instead of the cushion so the back-end fit and felt comfortable at the base of my skull and neck. With the wheel adjustment, it's simple to adjust how tight this fits, too. USB-C has and adjustable/removable Velcro strap to keep it in place when plugged in, and it's never an issue. You will need to go Bluetooth/Wifi connect with any other accessories with this plugged in. Battery - Battery take about a 1-1.5 hours to charge after unboxing (it was already at 2 lights or ~50%). The magnet is really strong so I'm not concerned it will fall off while moving around. After playing for probably 2 hours, headset was still at ~80% and S3 battery was at ~35% Fan - I really wasn't sure about how well this would work. The fan is in front of a forehead cushion, but you can definitely feel it when it's going. It's not super loud either when you have the standard headset audio in use, but with earbuds/headphones in, won't ever hear it. You do need the battery attached to use the fan though. Overall, well worth it, especially if you ever catch a good sale. Now the debate is whether I get the case to go with it, regardless of whether I ever travel or not. Definitely worth protecting everything together. The only thing this doesn't have is a lens cover/protector, which most are just a piece of foam anyhow.

Not perfect, but very good.
I like this head strap. I run warm, so the fan is helpful. Too bad Bobovr doesn't make the ventilated facial interface for the Quest 3s. I'm on my 2nd third party interface. I'm not interested in Meta's ventilated interface because the reviews speak of being about to see through the mesh material. AMVR makes a compatible interface that keeps it dark inside. The headgear is comfortable and definitely allows for long sessions. When the battery pack is connected, power is drawn first from the bobovr battery. I haven't used it long enough to get down below 30% in a single session, even with the fan on low-medium speed. The mask stays fully charged. The head strap stays in place for the most part, but if you look up above you, the strap loosens a couple clicks which needs retightening. I can't speak on durability, but the whole system (mask included) seems somewhat fragile, so I'm very gentle and careful putting it down and picking it up. Overall, it's not perfect but pretty good. Also, I only have the original Quest 3s head strap to compare it to.

Cooling enough, comfortable, and even fell asleep with it.
I’m not a sweaty person, but the stock quest does get hot on my face. That little fan, even though it doesn’t push much air, makes the difference between an hour or two with the headset on, and 4 hours with it on. The extra comfort it provides with the extra padding is just a plus, I fell asleep with it on just watching YouTube with my fiancé asleep next to me and my AirPod pros. The fact that im alive because there was no bright light from a tv screen on her says a lot. I was also able to do long late night gaming sessions with this upgraded headset on. That’s great because I’m a night owl and she’s not. It’s also super easy to install, fits comfortably, and is of equal quality to the original headsets plastic. Getting to game at night while being forced to go to bed while my fiancé sleeps on my chest has to be the most amazing thing in the world. That’s something I wouldn’t have been able to do without this upgrade because the stock head mount is ABYSMAL. If any of the things I mentioned hit your check boxes, you need to get this. Also, it easily still connects to the hex (I think that’s what it’s called) dock I purchased. No struggle at all. BUY IT, it’s a must to really enjoy this thing. I can’t wait to start spending countless hours drone training now (what I initially decided to use it for but that I couldn’t because the stock straps are horrible) for my license.

Pretty impressed
I don't write reviews for all of the items I buy on here. I expect a lot of the items I purchase on Amazon to be borderline consumable. I had read good things about this headset and its comfort, I get hot playing, it seemed like a product worth trying. It kind of nailed it, it fit well, is easy to adjust, can be used by a wide range of head sizes. The fan is a lifesaver to me and should just be a standard purchase for headsets in my opinion now. It's ugly, but performance wise I think the design fits. If you play with the adjustments I feel it really cradles the back and lower part of my head. Balance the weight with the battery pack and you lose that feeling of the headset pulling or falling forward with the weight. The headset feels solid, and has survived pre-teen use too. So here is the * After about a year the battery died, honestly I had been kind of bummed. I expected the longevity to be a little better for the price point, but I was still not super upset because at the end of the day I didn't follow best practices for charging and storing. I was crunching numbers for the price of a new battery and was about to pull the trigger, thinking well if I do a better job and get two years out of the next one, honestly the buck and a half a month would have been worth it to me. The headset really fit me well. Anyways before I hit buy I reached out to BoboVR and with a few emails on my part and superb customer service on their part, a new battery was on the way. I think they correctly diagnosed why my battery failed but they still very quickly honored their warranty. Communication was fast given the massive time zone differences, the communication was clear and easy to understand. Given it was an amazon purchase, finding a good vendor for what can arguably be a consumable product can be hard. Now not only am I happy I chose to try the product, they did something pretty rare and earned a repeat customer. I will now be purchasing their battery and dock that allows you to use the battery packs as portable stations. The form factor and dual use with my headset make it one of the better values in a battery pack to me.

Parfait et INDISPENSABLE ! ❄️🔋

i have some thoughts written below, overall pleasant. the best headstrap BOBO has made
Summary: I could have a lot to say about this headstrap but will keep it to the facts. Background is I never liked the M2 versions with battery as they would slow drain my Q2 even with it connected. I just previously stuck with the M2 version without battery and would stick one of my own at the back of it. With comfort mods I did on that set up I really thought that was my endgame for Quest 2 and Quest 3. Until this came along. Pros: - It comes with a build-in fan that you can granularly set the speed from 1 to 100. At around 60 and less percent the fan noise isn't too annoying over the sound of the game you're playing. I am a sweater even if I'm not playing intensive games. It doesn't cool very much but it does blow air around the top of your forehead area and depending how high or low you position that big fan on the top. - Finally BoboVR has added ratchet stops on the arm positioning. It's no longer friction based - but when you bend the arms or the back strap it has ratchets where you can click-position it and it'll hold it's place. This is very helpful for me so I know how many clicks it is return to my comfy spot after pulling the arms up to peek outside. - Also, due to the Q3 light weight and the ratchets stop I can even wear this headset without a facial interface like a Quest Pro. Very comfortable and good for MR games that you don't care if it's less immersive. - Battery B100 doesn't slow drain the Quest 3. Even with QGO app which "overclocks" your headset to play games with better quality or performance I've not experienced any slow drain. I was disappointed with the M2 Pro battery strap but not on this anymore. I even bought a second B100 ($62)! - Battery literally adds about 3 hours to your play time. Even with QGO app 3 hours is pretty good. I bought an extra battery so that I don't even have to rely on the Quest's internal battery, I can swap it after 3 hours and pretty much have unlimited playtime. - The two top oblong style head pads don't dig into my head anymore compared to M2 Pro. Seems they made the plastic very flexible on these. That translates to really good support on the top without the pain after a few hours. I even saw on a video you can take these off if you like - but I've never been able to on mine. - Back and forehead foam pads are comfortable. Very thick though comfortable and don't feel cheap. The forehead pad is a little too thick and warm to my taste but I understand it has to be that due to the fan. The fan does take care of that a bit. The back pad and the new design of the cradle at the back is very flexible and comfortable. - Pretty much these good features from the M2 Pro versions are back: The battery is very secure connected magnetically and has a satisfying sound when it connects or alerts you to no-battery. Comes with a good quality USB C to C cable. Plastic and materials are top notch, best that rivals the Quest's own plastic and color. Comes with a bottom part honeycomb back pad. - Since the arms and back needs additional force to move up or down, it's not really easy to move. Where you could use one arm on an M2 or M3, you'll probably need both hands so you can force it between the clicks. Not an issue for me as the trade off benefit is it's less likely to move if you don't want it to. Cons: - Only comes with bottom part of honeycomb back pad. I wish it came with top as well - I was planning to switch to honeycomb since I do feel it slipping sometimes though not anymore since I don't want to have half of each type. - PRICE! It's definitely an investment considering it's almost 1/3 of a Quest 3 128gb. You definitely need to read reviews and videos to understand the pros and cons. As I mentioned in my summary - M2 Pro was a fail for me for all my requirements. - The forehead pad is too thick. I often end my VR sessions with sweat underneath it, even if I'm relatively cool. I'm thinking of comfort mods and maybe using my old VR cover face foam to replace this. I do think they'll eventually come out with a model without the fan and therefore no thick forehead piece. - Some will complain about the fan, not me but here's my observations: It doesn't cool enough - just the top part of your forehead. It does get loud at 100%. Sometimes if you bend down, the exhaust of the Q3 will feed into the intake of the fan and deliver an unpleasant warm gust of air. Overall I feel if they remove the fan on a later SKU, it might be something I would have gotten.Though not anymore since this came out first. -

The Thrill of the Fight.
