This is my second time buying this keyboard. Not a replacement just one for my girlfriend as well. Mine is going on two years and still works like its brand new. Ergonomic: It may not be an advanced ergonomic keyboard but as keyboard standards it feels great and from standard keyboards its what I'm used to and I love the way it feels. Gaming: I do play more casual games so for responsiveness I can't speak on how it does but for games like Baldur's Gate/Ark/Phasmaphobia it works perfectly fine. Brightness: The keyboard is plenty bright without being overbearing and the RGB functions are very easy to customize with plenty of options. Durability: This keyboard is two years old on my desk with now sign of degradation or functionality issues at all. As a gamer with a full time job and not playing any fast paced games I still use it up to 30+ hours a week and it still functions and looks brand new. The HDMI cord is also in perfect shape and its a stress resistant fiber that also shows no degradation. Keys: I purchased the blue switches and they sound wonderful and clicky. The keyboard comes with an extra keycap puller underneath it and is easily customizable. You can take your basic keyboard and make it fancy with new switches and keycaps in a breeze All in all it is a perfect starter keyboard, its nothing fancy but for someone who plays often I love my keyboard. Would be again if I had a 3rd PC.

I love this keyboard!! I never thought I’d be able to find a quality mechanical keyboard with customizable RGB settings (especially as many as this one has) at such a budget price. Seriously. You can’t beat it. The tactile feel of the mechanical switches ( I have the blues. I love the clacky sounds.) are superb. While I cannot compare them in feel to the Cherry MX versions as I do not have enough experience with those to have a valid opinion, I will say that I am not upset that I didn’t get the Cherrys. These feel amazing. The build quality of this keyboard is great as well. I’m impressed that Tecware did not slump on materials when it comes to this product regardless of the budget price range. The cord is braided and feels premium and the main foundation of the keyboard is made of a brushed metal of some sorts. Assuming aluminum. It feels premium and looks premium and I am extremely satisfied. My only minor complaint is that under the floating keys in a few places you can see a couple screws. But this is minor and really mostly unnoticeable. I only noticed it because I was looking for something to point out as a con and honestly, on a daily use basis, they go unnoticed at least 90% of the time. It’s not a deal breaker at all. I could honestly go on about this keyboard and how much I love it. I haven’t owned other keyboards before as this is for my first pc build, but I have used many keyboards and thus far, I am extremely happy with this purchase. It is worth every single penny. If you’re reading this and looking for a budget end mechanical keyboard that feels and looks premium, don’t think any more. Just click buy. You won’t be upset about it.

I've had it just about a month, and so far I like it. I went from a membrane keyboard to this, not so much because I wanted a mechanical keyboard, but because I downsized to a smaller desk and wanted a smaller profile keyboard and never use the 10 keys anyway. After looking at some membrane TKL ones and not being impressed I figured I would give mechanical ones a try. Before I get into this keyboard, If you’re new to mechanical keyboards I absolutely recommend stopping in at your local BestBuy or a physical store which has ones on display you can play with. I did and very glad I did. DO NOT go off other people’s recommendations as to which style of keys to get, or how they sound for that matter, make up your own mind. Case in point, based off what I read the reds and browns are quiet, while blues are loud and kicky. Maybe that’s true if you type softly, personally I found if you type medium or hard they all are noisy, at least compared to a membrane keyboard. A mechanical keyboard makes it’s sound by the keys bottoming out regardless what type they are, the blues simply make an extra spring click half way down. Is that spring click make it that much louder? In my opinion no, but again if you type really soft, then they will be louder than the reds or browns. And far as tactile (brown & blue), vs non tactile (red), again you have to try it out and make up your own mind here. Before I tried them out, I figured I would want brown, or possibly red, but definitely not blue. What did I end up buying? Blue of course… I personally didn’t find the blue any louder and liked the physical feedback of the blue better than the brown, so go figure… Now far as this keyboard goes, I also bought and compared it to a cooler master that was priced at $90, and briefly in the store with the expensive Logitech, SteelSeries & Razer ones, basically the top brands. I think this Phantom holds its own against them. It may not have quite their level of premium feel, but it’s like anything, if you had it side by side with a $200 keyboard you’ll like the $200 one more, would you like it 4x as much? No… I like nice things, and while I can afford a $200 keyboard it’s just not how I roll. So far I’m very happy with the Phantom and have no regrets. I did have to buy a palm rest as I was very used to resting my palms on the desk and found the increase arch of having to lift my fingers up an inch higher was uncomfortable. But other than halving to buy a palm rest I like it. The lights are cool, but after trying all the styles out I tend to leave it on a constant color that fades between colors as I’d just be too distracted, but there are a lot of cool styles. Last thoughts… Do I think Mechanical keyboards are all that? Meh… I have nothing against membrane keyboards at all, and being I’m in the IT field I use one all day long. If you game are mechanical keyboards much better than membrane? I personally don’t think so. Again my main goal was I wanted to find a decent TKL keyboard, and there are quite a few choices in the mechanical keyboard world, for membrane I had a harder time finding many, and those that I found were more travel or ultral small keyboards, and I wasn’t looking for that. So in the end I’m happy with the Phantom, and even know I type on one all day long I wouldn’t see the value in a $200 keyboard, but that’s just me…

LEDs: Nice, bright full rgb per-key leds. The software is nice and easy to use, and so are the keys for changing the lights. Perfect for RGB lovers. Switches: I purchased the Outemu Blues, and they are extremely tactile and clicky as advertised. The keyboard comes with 4 spare mechanical switches, and a switch remover. Keys: In my opinion the key material is one of the only downsides to the keyboard. It has a sort of scratchy feel, and it is made from double shot ABS plastic. This is personal opinion. Extras: The cable is braided, the switches can be easily replaced (only with outemu switches!), The lights look better in person than they do in pictures, they are a lot brighter! Contents: 01 x Keyboard 04 x Spare Mechanical Switch 01 x Switch Puller 01 x Keycap Puller 01 x Manual My opinion: One of the best budget keyboards for people looking on the cheaper side, but if you have more money than around $100, treat yourself with a nicer mech keyboard.

I have been using this keyboard for almost 2 years now, and my opinion still remains the same. If you are looking for a budget, 75%, mechanical keyboard, this is the perfect board for you! Build Quality: As of build quality, this $45 board exceeded my expectations. This has lasted me for about 2 years, and is still in great shape. It is a pretty heavy, sturdy board so it doesn’t move around your desk very easily. It is topped with an aluminum plate to give the premium feel in a budget board. It comes with a long durable cable which is braided with a gold plated usb plug. Also comes with cable raceways under the board to minimize the look or have the cable coming out at an end of your preference. What more can you ask for in a $45 keyboard! RGB Lights: The RGB throughout this board is amazing! Even after countless hours of constant gaming, working, and just having my computer on, it is still as bright and as vibrant as ever. There are tons of modes and colors that can be easily controlled just by the function keys on the keyboard, but if you dislike this way of changing the RGB settings, they even have a custom downloadable program made just for the keyboard. The program lets you create custom color profiles for anytime you want to switch from one to another. It even lets you customize each and every key to a certain color and mode which many high-end, and budget keyboards cannot do. Hotswappabilty: Other than the RGB lights there are still many things this $45 keyboard can do. This keyboard comes with a feature that many keyboards above this price range do not have, and that is hotswappability. This means that the mechanical switches within the keyboard are able to be taken out and replaced with because they are not soldered into the PCB. This is such an important feature because there are not many keyboards around this price range that provide this. It is mainly used if a switch breaks or if you want a different sound or feel in a switch. The only con about this feature is that you are limited to using certain switches (outemu), taking out many other great switches in the market. This is because only some switches are compatible with the PCB. Outemu switches are often cheap, and it is super easy to pop out by using the switch puller included with the keyboard as well as 4 extra switches. Additional Add-Ons: This keyboard is fully loaded! Besides the switch puller and switches, it also comes with a solid keycap puller that has its own place to stay, built into the bottom of the keyboard. Since this is a mechanical board, the keycaps are able to be replaced with a set of your choosing. The keycap puller is a much better alternative than pulling each key out individually, damaging the stem of the key and keycaps. Who should buy: If you are looking for an affordable, yet reliable, mechanical keyboard, The Tecware Phantom 87 is the best choice for you.

Very impressed with this keyboard. My last keyboard which lasted me roughly six plus years was a Steelseries 6gv2 with black switches. That thing was a tank. I was very apprehensive about getting a smaller keyboard because I figured it wouldn't be as beefy in terms of lasting power. However, it was great out of the box. Feels very sturdy and doesn't feel cheap at all. I was a bit worried about switching to blue switches, but I absolutely love them. Feels very tactile and I wouldn't ever go back to something that didn't feel like this. The RGB on this keyboard is fantastic, and that's coming from someone who doesn't even care for RGB that much. You can tone the brightness all the way back and put on a subtle color and I love that about it. There's also a million different light settings if you're into that. Works especially well with the raised keys and double shot caps. My only complaint about this keyboard that I can possibly fathom is that some of the edge keys are very 'rigid' or 'sharp' when you first start using them. I use the left side of my palm to hit the control key for instance, and you could feel it digging into your palm a bit. However, this went away within a couple hours of use and it wasn't even really a negative after that. All in all, best budget keyboard around. I haven't used them all but I've definitely spent hours checking all of them out. If you're on the fence about this at all, just pull the trigger. Outside of any DOA issues that can happen with any tech product, you won't be disappointed at all.

Fantastic. High quality, double shot keys. Comes with spare switches, swapped one out to test the simplicity and it just takes a nice solid tug and replacement is simple. Absolutely stunning lighting. Bright even in direct sunlight. Love the hypnospiral (FN+Pg Down 3x), currently my favorite. Doesn't even need software to use its full suite of colors -- though the software has added features and was simple to find and install from their site. I have used both the Blue and Brown switch version of this keyboard. Originally bought the Browns and switched them for Blues (with a cumbersome return process, you can't do a simple exchange it seems, but I did get my refund eventually). I regret the switch to some degree, while the Blues are undeniably satisfying to use, and I enjoy the sound quite a bit, I do find it a bit vexing that there is no way to reduce the sound signature with a soft typing speed. Even light keypressing will make a nice sharp click which is pleasant to the typist but rarely to anyone within earshot. That said I had hoped a softer touch would mitigate this, but once activation of the switch occurs the switch takes over the stroke completely, leading to the satisfying touch and feel of Blues. That said the Browns though only slightly more muddled in feel, really did have the very same kind of satisfaction to my fingertips, and though the high treble click of the Blues are missing, it's impossible not to enjoy the nice heavier chunk of Brown switches. I now miss them, and am contemplating buying a second set and gifting these instead of returning. So I always have one on hand during the process. Hopefully this shows you that this is a quality purchase to go through this kind of stress over a budget keyboard hehe. From the box packaging, to the software, this is a budget device with a premium heart. It truly wants you to remember the name, even though it tastefully lacks branding on its surface... It's something special for sure. You won't regret it.

First off, you are limited to only outemu switches were are pretty good cherry mx clones for cheap. despite that limitation this is a great keyboard to pick up for your first keyboard, even your second or third. for around $50 you really cant go wrong. the software tool to customize the rgb is also really great feature that not many boards have at this price range. hot swap sockets are very handy as well, when I first received the board the space bar had issues with not registering but thats not a problem because i can just swap out the whole key using one of the replacements that comes included in the box. I chose blue keys because I really wanted something clicky for my first, I still love it but outemu blues can be more on the loud side compared to some other blues I have tested now. Still would not have chosen a different key and board combo though. one downside is that the keyboard does not have a removable cable, I would have liked to see this feature on this board but then this board really would be too perfect. another slight downside is that although the steel plate adds some really good rigidity to the keyboard, pressing hard on the middle keys like the letters can produce a slight metalic twang sound, I have not opened this keyboard to try adding some foam or something inside to try and alleviate this but just be aware of that too, as I type this really long unorganized review though it has only happened a few times so its not a big concern. I do recommend this keyboard highly for the budget and first timers, its features and quality are still unmatched in my eyes in this price range and possibly even a little higher.

Durante el primer año bien. El teclado a pesar de ser ANSI, no cuesta adaptarse. Si eres programador y usas mucho las teclas <>, no recomiendo esta disposición, ya que pierdes la posibilidad de usarla. El RGB muy configurable, y en sí, los switches Outemu Blue tienen buen tacto y responden bien; aparte que el sonido aunque un poco enlatado, es agradable. El problema es a partir de un año de uso (Ya llevo dos años de uso con él, y los problemas se han ido intensificando). Noto que las teclas han empezado a mostrar signos de desgaste. El Switch en sí sigue perfecto, pero es el mecanismo de pulsado que hay (No me se el nombre exacto) el que creo que ha empezado a adolecer el uso continuado. Algunas teclas con la de F8 y el Shift derecho han perdido la sujección, por lo que con un mínimo de fuerza, las teclas salen sin necesidad de la herrramienta, y a la mínima que muevo el teclado y roza con algo, la tecla se desprende. Lo peor es la pintura oscura que le han echado a la base del teclado, que en el momento en el que quieras limpiarlo y te pases un pelín con la fuerza que ejerces, la arrancas sin querer (véase la imagen); con lo que tienes que acabar eligiendo entre dejarlo sucio y con restos de suciedad pegados al chasis, o intentar quitarlos y que se venga la pintura. En sí, iba a darle 3 estrellas al teclado porque la construcción es muuuy mejorable, pero he decidido darle 2 estrellas porque, si el teclado es malo, el servicio postventa es aún peor. Hace mucho que notifiqué a Tecware de los problemas que he tenido con el teclado. ¿Os ha llegado la respuesta a vosotros? Porque a mi no. En fin, no lo devolví al final y estoy aguantando con él hasta que pille otro mejor, porque cumple con su cometido. Pero si tenéis la opción, huid de este.

I bought this to replace my old membrane keyboard and the change was definitely worth the money. The quality is exceptional, it's really firm and stable on my gaming mouse mat on my desk, and the keys (and switches) feel great. I got the Outemu Blues, and while I do like the clicky sound, it is so much louder than Cherry MX Blue switches and I had to buy silicone o-rings to dampen them (which didn't help too much). I wish I got the Outemu Brown switches instead, but this is just a personal preference. The keyboard overall is great, the RGB is fantastic, and it is just an absolute pleasure to use.

La uso da ben due anni, e l'ho presa quando costava circa 60€, e mi sento ancora in colpa di non doverla pagare il triplo. La qualità materiale di questa tastiera e la personalizzazione on the fly sono davvero straordinarie. Il software aggiunge macro e profili, ma anche se non esistesse la mia opinione non cambierebbe. Tra l'altro, ci ho pure versato del té (da non fare, non è certificata, ma utile da sapere) e dopo averla asciugata (facilmente smontabile, ho lavato la parte non elettronica senza problemi) funziona come prima! Compratela
