I added two of these to expand my NAS RAID recently afte the RED PROS i bought were not recognised by the NAS. Worked like a dream as soon as I inserted them.

I formatted it in HFS+ and copied around 2.5TB of data onto it, millions of small files, mostly smaller ones rather than large ones. After finishing the backups, macOS started showing a message saying the disk was not repairable. This was my very first use of it, which was quite disappointing. I reformatted it in ExFAT, and now it seems to be working fine, but overall, it left a bad first impression for a supposedly high-quality drive especially considering its price and specifications.

Disken var felaktig vid mottagandet. Använde Amazons web-baserade instruktion för att returnera den trasiga disken. I detta fall skulle den skickas till WD support i Tjeckien. Emballerade och lämnade in disken på Post Nords in/utlämningsställe. Fick betala 403:- för att skicka disken till Tjeckien. Försökte få ersättning av Amazon för denna returfrakt utan framgång. Jag skulle ha returnerat disken direkt till Amazon påstods anledningen vara, Men var är det då? Jag följde instruktionen till punkt och pricka. Det är så svagt av Amazon att inte ta konsekvensen av sina egna instruktioner. Jag kommer inte att välja Amazon någon fler gång. Dåligt!

Ottimo disco, di qualità "enterprise", ideale per i NAS. Funziona perfettamente sul mio vecchio NAS Synology 2413+ , anche se non compare ancora nella lista dei dischi supportati ufficialmente. Ma ultimamente Synology aggiorna il database molto lentamente. Questi dischi garantiscono funzionamenti ininterrotti in ambienti NAS multi-disco RAID 5 o 6 per oltre 10-15 anni, prima di dovere essere sostituiti. Prodotto davvero superlativo.
