I do not know why others have rated this less than 5-Stars because it has worked perfectly for me for many years. I have them in both my cars and in my motorhome. They have captured some pretty gruesome car accidents of which I was able to provide police with very clear videos with sound. Well worth the money!

I've owned a couple of the earlier version of this Black Box dashcam (2019), The first one I bought, the recorded files/playback the audio was all statically. . . must have been a lemon, so I sent it back for a second shot. The replacement, the audio was better except for periodically recording "rattles", that don't exist and the video playback wasn't smooth but herky-jerky. I give up. There's a reason these are so cheap. . . they are cheap and of really poor quality.

The delivery of this item was delayed twice. I finally received it and it's okay. You will need to purchase a sim card if you wish to record. The adapter plugs into the camera and a cigarette lighter as the power source. The cord will hang down in front of your window, over your touch screen and for me sometimes interferes with moving my cup in and out of the cup holder. It could be better, but it could also be worst. Depends on why you feel you need it.
