Hi,I assumed this kit would come with wax frame foundations but it does not.I don't know If this was intentional or a mistake.

Excellent build quality
Unfortunately i had to return my beehive because i found out i am allergic to bee stings so i couldnt take the chance but i did open the box before i was told about my medical condition and i was delighted with the quality and with the amount of equipment supplied. Sorry supplier but i think its not going to hang around on your shelves for long once people find out how well its made. 10/10 for value for money. Derrick griffith.

Langstroth Hive
As a new beekeeper this hive is ok however it’s not the style that is widely used in the UK, this is more a US style, you should start with a National which will allow you to buy a nuc to fit in. I think lots of people have made this mistake and now the beekeeper I bought from is starting to make nucs for this style hive. It didn’t fit together as well as I’d liked, some of the dovetails were a little out of alignment. The frame inside do not come with wax panels they are plastic. Beeswax panels help a nuc draw from it to create the comb the plastic means they are having to work from scratch to build. The tray at the bottom is sturdy but doesnt offer much ventilation. The hive is pre waxed which is good for weathering. I’ll probably use mine when my bees fill out my current hive. Not bad but not great either.

Hive not good
Not expensive but too many issues with the hive. No vent in roof, no inspection tray at the bottom, and the frames are not a conventional size so when we tried to replace with better ones they didn't fit. Extra kit was fine but the Bees all flew away after a few months
