Artlicious - 6 Super Value Wood Panel Boards - Great Alternative to Canvas Panels, Stretched Canvas & Canvas Rolls (8x8, Standard Profile)

The media could not be loaded.  Wooden panels can be quite expensive, so I wanted to try the Artilicious panels to check out the quality. As you can see from my video 1 of the 6 cradled woods panels I received had wood chipped out of two top corners. Given that I have only 5 in excellent condition I deem the price good but not great. Each panel was shrink-wrapped individually, but they were then placed in a plastic Amazon bag to ship. Not sure if the chips occurred prior o shipping or in transit.

I have a wire shelf in my bathroom. These fit perfect on each wire shelf so things can actually sit there securely! Love these!

These panels are ok, but plan on doing some sanding on them. The sides and top are not the baby butt smooth surface you get with other brands. For the price, I'll sand a little.

Used for decoupage of pictures as gift. I stained the wood first, it took very nice. Worked well for my project!

I got these to try fluid art but they are so smooth. I am going to burn pictures onto them. So they would be great for either. Can't wait to find what I want to try my hand at

Many other reviewers mentioned how different even a set of five panels could be, and they were right. After sanding them all down, some absorbed stain like a sponge, others, I had to do multiple passes to get the same result. I would not recommend using this for direct-to-surface art, if you're planning on making a set. Not good for that. For that alone, I'm knocking off a star. This should not be advertised as an alternative to canvas for that alone.I, however, used this for an incredibly different job. I needed 9-10" wide, small shelves for a very very odd, low traffic part of my house. The equivalent amount of custom cut ply, or other manufactured woods, would have cost so much more money. Here, I stained these panels, just to cover the defects (at least, most of them). And the 5/8" deep, 7/8" wide frame was more than enough for some Elfa melamine shelf brackets. They're solid, and thanks to the frame, I know this will do the job, and probably last a while. I'm stoked. I can finally utilize the space.

These are NOT 11x14 inches and they are NOT 1.5 inches deep. Also some of the panels haveindentations or embedded extra wood on the surface. They were delivered in a cut-down second hand cardboard box. There was no wrapper, packaging or product label of any kind. They were loose in the box. I bought these and the supposed 9x12 inch panels. Not so. Two of the four are completely unusable.Buyer beware.
