Learn about chess tactics and test your skills with this oversize deck of 54 cards from the New York Times bestselling author of How to Win at Chess, International Master and YouTubeโs top chess teacher Levy Rozman (aka GothamChess). Chess is all about practice. With this interactive, immersive deck of 54 cards, Levy Rozman distills the most important information players need to know in order to practice right. Fifty cards with chessboard diagrams feature the best openings for black and white; tactics to know like forks, pins, and skewers; historical games to learn from; and brainteasers to test your skills. Two introductory cards explain how each of the six pieces moves and how to understand chess notation so you can analyze positions. Suitable for those who have a rudimentary understanding of chess but challenging enough for more seasoned players, The Chess Deck will help ensure victory. Checkmate awaits! Review: Great Teaching Aid for Chess Programs - I use this as a teaching aid for my students. The instruction and exercises are clear and concise. The quality of the cards is outstanding and will last a long time! Review: Great Teaching Tool - I was looking for a simple card deck that I could use to learn different chess openers and other aspects of the game. I wanted to be able to pick a card out each day and study it. This fit the bill. The quality is great and I love all the information that's packed on to each card. I was surprised at how large the deck is and it's not a typical deck of playing cards in terms of size. Which is totally fine by me and I can see myself using this in our chess club. Personally, if there was a smaller deck available I would prefer the even smaller size. Honestly, I'm very happy with the quality and the thoughtful design and information on each of the cards. It's a nice change from thick chess books and great to have for bite size lessons.

Brilliant Learning Tool for Beginners and Intermediates
This deck is such a smart and engaging way to learn chess. Each card focuses on a specific concept โ from basic rules and tactics to openings and strategic ideas โ making it easy to absorb in bite-sized pieces. Itโs way less intimidating than a full book and perfect for picking up and practicing anytime. The visuals are clear, the explanations are concise, and the quality of the cards is excellent. Great for kids, adult learners, or anyone looking to solidify their foundation in the game. I've even used it to teach a few friends, and they loved it too. Highly recommend for anyone starting their chess journey or brushing up on the fundamentals!

An easy way to improve your game
Iโm genuinely impressed with The Chess Deck. The quality of the product itself is outstanding โ the large, sturdy cards feel premium, and the presentation box is equally well made. The layout of each card is clear, easy to follow, and beautifully designed for quick understanding. What really stands out, though, is the educational value. Iโve learned so much from just the first five cards, especially about chess openings. The content is concise, practical, and perfectly suited to learning in small, digestible chunks. If youโre trying to improve your chess skills without getting overwhelmed, this is a brilliant tool. Highly recommend!
