Genuine Intel and worked great!
Worked flawlessly. They come with both the high and low bracket. They are OEM cards so you need to download the driver directly from Intel's site. They are X8, so make sure you put them in a PCIe x8 slot. After enabling jumbo frames, and maxing out the TX/RX buffers, I was able to get about 9.83 Gbps, and copying a 35.5 GB file took 40 seconds. That means I'm getting about 1.23 Gbps out of a theoretical maximum of 1.25 Gbps, or as it so happens, 98.3% of the theoretical max speed!

Low Rise Bracket Only
Pain in the anal vault. It came only with a low-rise rackmount server bracket. Had to buy these silly pieces of metal on Ebay from China which took 10 days. Other than that, yes, it works, it is fast and I am buying 12 more to complete a network.

Wow :)
Not for the average, or even slightly more advanced user. I bought these for my home lab...overkill for sure. I first bought 1 of these and 1 of the dual port model, to verify that I would see an improvement with my equipment - why bother going to 10G if the systems you have can't leverage it? Well, safe to say - my equipment can! I was able to triple the IOPS; and using another setting within IOMeter, I could cap out at 9.8gbps! So, I bought 4 more of these, installed them in my other 4 servers, bought the Netgear 8 port 10g switch, and it's off to the races! I'd been kicking around the idea of going to 10G for a LONG time, waiting for prices to get better. While still not great, IMO, it was worth the move. Time will tell as I start putting pressure on the 10G interfaces between 5 single-port hosts and 1 dual port storage.

Intermittent failure less than 1 year
For the price tag you think this thing would work forever - NOT! Intermittently started failing to get an IP 6 months in. My PC interior temp is 35C max. I replaced this with an ASUS XG-C100C 10G Network Adapter, almost 1/3 the cost and it was been working longer already.

Simply AMAZING!!
Simply AMAZING!!! I'm backing up between two PCs with RAID arrays with spindle drives. I'm averaging about 500MB/s on average. Large files - 1GB transfer 600MB/s. Lager transfer at 900GB/s. Tiny files are still slow - about 30MB/s. I didn't bother to get a switch, I'm just using a network cable between the two systems. The only downside of these cards is the price.

Awesome 10GbE Network Adapter
Excellent experience with this network adapter... installed easily and showed up in my Ubuntu build on boot. 10GbE to the switch with appropriate cables.

10GbE for the home!
Hopefully prices will start to decrease. I use this for my home server -> NAS. Blistering speeds. Easy setup and config.

Intel NIC always a good, but not the cheapest...
Intel NICs always work well... not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.. rock solid Note if you’re putting this in a tower you need to order a long mounting bracket as well, this only came with a short bracket

Alles 1a!
