Boka toothpaste
I’ve been using Boka toothpaste, and I want to share my full experience compared to other non-Boka toothpastes I used before. I bought two Boka types and started with the charcoal one. I haven’t tried the second one yet. Boka is free from ingredients like fluoride, artificial dyes, parabens, titanium dioxide, baking soda, and other strong additives commonly found in many regular toothpastes. With other toothpastes I used before, the feeling after brushing was always very heavy in my mouth. It often felt like a chemical coating or a very intense sensation that stayed on my teeth and gums. Even though it is often described as mint or mouthwash-like, for me it felt more like an overly strong, detergent-like product that stayed in my mouth. With Boka toothpaste, I don’t feel that at all. After brushing, there is no lingering sensation—no chemical coating, no overpowering taste, and nothing that stays in my mouth afterward. My mouth just feels clean and normal in a simple way. Another important difference for me is that after using Boka, I feel comfortable right away. My teeth look very clean, and I feel free to eat or drink normally without any unpleasant after-feeling in my mouth. Overall, this toothpaste feels much more comfortable for me than other toothpastes I used before. I appreciate the experience it gives, and I’m very satisfied with it so far. I also appreciate the company for creating this product, and I hope they continue offering it in the same way.

Great option for fluoride-free families, has helped my sensitive teeth dramatically
This is a great non-fluoride toothpaste. Our whole family switched to nano hydroxyapatite instead of fluoride pastes, we have had great dental visits and no regrets. No one has had a cavity since switching 2 years ago, but three of the four of us didn’t have cavities to begin with. I would say that my own sensitivity to cold (something I’ve had for 40 years) has decreased significantly since using this daily. This paste is far more effective for sensitivity than high fluoride options have been for me. My two teenage boys both love this toothpaste. My teeth feel clean. I wouldn’t say the toothpaste whitens better than any other paste does. My mouth feels fresh after brushing. I like the idea of remineralizing tooth surfaces but I don’t know how I would quantify that. The flavors are all good, I would rank them as follows: lemon lavender, mint, cinnamon mint, cardamom, ginger (don’t get it if you don’t LOVE ginger). Cardamom is really nice but I could see getting tired of it. Ginger is kinda weird. My boys love the lemon lavender the best. The flavors can be intense but in a natural, not artificial way. It’s not too sweet at all like some pastes can be. This toothpaste is absolutely worth the higher price point. I feel good about my family using it.

Tastes great, works great
I love this toothpaste! I’m so happy to have a toothpaste that isn’t mint-flavored. FLAVOR: The taste and smell are so good — the coco ginger flavor is delicious and I legitimately look forward to the taste of it. I was worried that the ginger might be strong/spicy, but it’s nicely balanced. The lavender lemon flavor is also pretty good, like a lemon pastry. The elamint flavor tastes like regular mint toothpaste, just maybe slightly more herbal. SENSITIVITY: I’ve had to use sensitive toothpaste for many years. Any time I switched off it, I would start experiencing sensitivity again within a week or so. I’m really happy to report that this toothpaste offers great sensitivity and enamel protection. WHITENING: I don’t feel that this toothpaste is contributing much in terms of whitening. My previous toothpaste had gentle whitening, and I do feel like I could tell it was working. While my teeth haven’t gotten less white since I switched to Boka, I don’t think they’ve gotten any whiter either. That’s okay with me — the flavor and sensitivity protection are worth it, and I can always do a whitening treatment in the future if I ever feel I need to. TEXTURE: The texture is just like normal toothpaste and brushing with it feels the same as any other toothpaste. It works great with both my manual toothbrush and my electric toothbrush. TUBE: The tube is really nice and sturdy. I like the design of the tube a lot. The text and color scheme are fairly minimalist, and I like that the cap has a wide base so the tube can stand upright. It looks nice on my bathroom shelf. My only small complaint is that it gets harder and harder to squeeze the toothpaste out once the tube is less than half full. Since the tube is so sturdy, it can’t be rolled and folded to get the paste out. I think this issue could probably be resolved easily with one of those squeezing tools, though. I’ll report back if I try it. SIZES: I love that it’s available in both a regular size and a little travel size. I also loved that the travel size allowed me to try out this toothpaste before committing to a whole large one. (Don’t worry, the tube in my photos was full when it arrived! I’ve used half of it.) Overall I highly recommend this toothpaste! I will absolutely buy it again.

Mint is best
Got these on sale. Wanted to try different flavors but the only one I really liked was the mint. If I get these again I will stick with that flavors. Seemed to work well and my teeth looked whiter.

Amazing! Game changer
Finding BOKA toothpaste has been a game changer for me. Being able to find a fluoride free toothpaste that has a good texture and comes in so many unique flavors has brought back an excitement to my dental routine. It’s fresh, good ingredients, and this flavor in particular /coco ginger/ is AMAZING. Try it

Lovely
Not one of the best flavors out there. I'm not used to charcoal. The flavor and texture is a bit off for me, makes me gag every-time but it is One of my favorite toothpastes after transition from sensodyne & proenamel. I never thought I would be able to go to a different toothpaste with my teeth being insanely sensitive. After doing some research and a family never recommend the brand boka I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you that my teeth have never felt better with the sensitivity and cleanness. It freshened your breather well and all the ingredients are so clean and good. I love that I can even give it to my toddler and not worry about her swallowing to much. Give this toothpaste a go!!!! The flavors are amazing. We have definitely tried almost all, we do end up going back to this one and the whitening one.

Dear Boka: FLUORIDE IS GOOD.
I've tried all the popular brands of sensitivity toothpaste, including overseas nanohydroxyapatite ones, and Boka is the best. I can drink tea and coffee again. However, the fact that Boka flat-out refuses (it's official policy) to add fluoride to any of their toothpastes compromises their customers' health for no reason other than catering to the trendy "chemicals = bad" mentality. Fluoride is safe and extremely effective, as extensive and rigorous research has repeatedly demonstrated. It's the gold standard and nHAp is no substitute when it comes to preventing decay. Ask a dentist. I pay $13 a tube for this stuff and I still have to buy fluoride toothpaste and use the two together in order to get proper cavity protection - which is vastly important in a country where you pay a staggering premium for dental care. Not offering a fluoride variety is ethically bankrupt when brushing with fluoride is recognized by _all major dental and medical associations worldwide_ as the single best way to keep your teeth. When another brand makes a comparable quality nHAp + fluoride toothpaste, I'll be relieved to ditch Boka for good. UPDATE: The company contacted me with a refund offer, which was nice of them, but I didn't accept. I want to use this toothpaste because it's the most effective for sensitivity. It's just incomplete, which is absurd at this price point. Give consumers at least one fluoride option so we can address both sensitivity and decay in the most effective (scientifically-proven) way with one toothpaste. By the way, if, like me, you're adding fluoride when you brush, I recommend using colgate Gel-Kam stannous fluoride because it prevents sensitivity as well as decay. The consistency is very thin and one tube will last forever. I put just a small drop on the toothbrush and then add the Boka on top.

Still skeptical but still using it!
First off why am I an adulty adult and just now hearing about nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste with everyone else? I mean, seems like at some point we should have heard “in other countries (Japan) they have toothpaste that actually remineralizes your teeth”. I mean how long has this been a thing? I’m still upset that I’m old and just now have access to this. I could have been saving teeth for years! This brand was recommended to me by my dental hygienist. Flavor good. A little spicy but not bad. Teeth feel very clean after use. Not runny like some other brands. I have used several flavors and they are all ok. I really like the lid. Bigger than regular toothpaste. I’m still trying to decide if it’s actually remineralizing and if so how come my tongue isn’t getting a tooth coating? 🧐 Doesn’t seem to whiten better than regular fluoride toothpaste.

Game changer.
I have been using Boka toothpaste for over 5 years now and I can't hype it enough. I am in my late 40's and my teeth feel like I'm in my 20's again. Along with them feeling silky smooth again after every brush, I have had no plaque since using it and that's the god honest truth. My favourite flavour is the Lemon and Lavinder and the Coco and Ginger is second. Warning, the Cinamint is clover flavour. My only issue with it at the moment is that they have stopped selling these flavours in the UK and the price has sky rocketed.

Must order more!!
Leaves your mouth feeling clean and refreshing, wasn’t so sure about the coconut and ginger flavour at first but it has definitely grown on me quite a bit.

Far too sweet
I’m allergic to mint so was excited to find an alternative to the fennel toothpaste I’ve been using for ages. Unfortunately, the white cranberry ingredients make it cloyingly sweet, not only in taste, but also in smell; every time I open my medicine cabinet, the smell wafts out, reminding me of the flavour. I would much rather it have the tartness of cranberries, which is what I thought it would be. I’d also rather have no flavour at all. Obviously, I can’t return it, once used, so I’ll have to continue with it. Otherwise, I’m throwing a LOT of money down the drain. Very disappointed, to say the least.
