HD Steering Ball Joint (Single)

So autozone nor advance cary the right ball joind remover to install the teraflex ball joint. Harbor freight does sell the correct ball joint tool.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The price of these ball joints is crazy stuff. I bought a vehicle with Teraflex already installed so I didn’t have much of a choice. The whole steering setup costs about $2,000 and four of these replacement joints cost 1/4 of that total price, the economics don’t make sense. The old ball joints were in bad shape, probably from not greasing the joints regularly. The vehicle only has 140k on it so I can take a guess about the quality. Be sure to remove the dust boot before pressing them in, I already made a small tear in one and probably screwed myself out of a long lasting joint, if they even last long to begin with. Only grease them after they are installed on the vehicle, I made a mess and learned something too. It’s a whole lot easier to just replace a stock tie rod, but custom gear like this is for when you hate having money and need to get rid of it.
