Reliable Protection That Actually Works
โญโญโญโญโญReliable Protection That Actually WorksIโve used several flea and tick preventives over the years, and TevraPet Activate II has been one of the most consistent for my dogs. It applies easily, absorbs quickly, and doesnโt leave a greasy mess on their coat. Within a day or two, I noticed a clear reduction in scratching and no new fleas showing up.What I appreciate most is that it works without any strong chemical smell, and my dogs havenโt had any skin irritation from it. The price is more reasonable than some of the big-name brands, but the effectiveness has been just as dependable in my experience. If youโre looking for solid, straightforward flea and tick protection that doesnโt break the bank, this is a good choice.

No More Fleas
I havenโt seen any fleas since I began using this product so it works good for fleas. I havenโt had to reapply before the 4 weeks, sometimes I even go a little longer. As for mosquitoes, they still attack my pup as soon as she steps out the door. The mosquito repellent doesnโt work as well. No smell and no irritation. It is a little oily but never caused a problem, it dries fairly quickly. You will need scissors to open the applicator. I purchased the small dog size, it does not have a lot of product but still worked.

One day later and its a vast improvement.
After just 1 day, I see an major improvement. Our dogs are very important companions to us. I was almost hesitant to purchase the product, but after reading several reviews here and looking at the mfgs. website. I decided to give it a try. I usually want more feedback before trying a product on my beloved dogs. I am glad, that I decided to forge ahead and be the one to give feedback for everyone else. The wife and I have multiple huskies whom we share our life with. I certainly love the price point. It works just as good as other name brands. I say other name brands as this product will certainly be a name brand, and it is one we now trust. My huskies tolerated this product very well, and showed no signs of any reaction at all. Well except for a major reduction in fleas. After 24 hours, I checked our dogs and I couldn't see any visible movement. I know its not a 100% product on the first go and it will take few applications to completely stop the cycle. With further applications for preventive too. That price sure makes it easy to provide those. I/we literally cut our monthly medication bill in 1/2. So we will 100% be purchasing this product again.Being basically a rescue, (our vet classifies us as one) due to taking in multiple huskies over the years. We have tried to be frugal with some things but food and flea medicine are things we don't cut corners on. I would recommend this to any rescue groups out there whom may have tight budget constraints. We know the more you can control costs the more you can help other animals.Being as how passionate we are about our pups, I will be sure to update this review as needed.** edit:I wanted to notate we have used this on dogs as young as ~1 year, to senior dogs 13+ years of age. All have faired well and tolerated the medication well. Its now October 2017, and we are well outside our normal flea flare up season. The pups are doing well, the medication continues to be a vital part of our medication regimen. I saw no ill affects at any time in its use across as many as 13 huskies. Yes we have 13 huskies as pets. They are all rescues and not used for breeding purposes. Actually all are fixed.Edit 2:Its now December 2017 and we are still continuing to purchase Activate II, everything is still going well for our huskies.**** I will continue to suggest this as an alternative to some of the other higher priced medications. Having said that all users should be on the look out for adverse reactions when any medication is given. I would recommend placing an animal poison control number in your phone. Remember that pets are just like us, I may react differently to a medication, that you can easily tolerate. The same goes for the pets. The vast majority of the population may likely see no ill effects, but you have to be prepared if they are in the minority group and cannot tolerate a medication.

Fleas Immune to Medicine
Wasn't impressed with the results. My dog doesn't typically have fleas but I noticed her scratching more frequently and leaving flea dirt spots on my furniture and bed sheets. I've seen some stray cats in the neighborhood and my sister takes her dog to the dog park where she could have very well picked up and brought home those pesky parasites. I ordered the Activate 2 topical flea and tick prevention 4ct. based on the reviews and cost comparison to similar products. I gave my dog a bath 24hrs prior to application and also treated my carpets with a commercial grade flea killing spray. After I applied the 1st dose I thought it seemed to work but after a few days the fleas were back. I waited 2 weeks and then applied a 2nd dose. Even after doubling the dosage, the fleas were still a problem. I took her to the vet where they informed me the fleas have built an immunity to the topicals and suggested I try Simparica Trio (RX only). I gave it 3 stars because it's not necessarily the medicine that doesn't work but the fleas that have become immune in my area (central Florida). I saw other reviews that said it worked great for them. I would ask your vet if the same issue exists in your area before purchasing. Good luck....

Quality and value
We live in the woods and the fleas and ticks are absolutely terrible. This stuff really works and keeps our pets happy.

The Best.
Works great! Dogs ears were getting eaten and 5 mins after application no more flies and no more flies buzzing around the dog house or back yard. Spent plenty of money on other products that donโt work well.

worthless.
Warning:A) efficacy -very poor at least with ticks. Both Wood and Deer Ticks seem immune to Activate ll.B] cost-not a bargain brand tick treatment. cost about the same as bravecto with an extra month of coverage which, considering how poorly it worked, was meaningless.C) purchased in March and by the end of April we started to find ticks on him. By the number of ticks i pulled off just today I would say this product is completely ineffective or defective in preventing ticks.*below is a more detailed and wordy review but I wanted to state the main issue above and below is because fill in. Bottom line-i now have to worry That in 6 weeks time my young male Border collie will test positive for Lyme's disease. The sole reason I'm willing to spend the $80 for tick and flee prevention is to stop disease and then secondary issues would be comfort of the dog of the people and the general hygiene of keeping insects off our dogs. So in that regard activate to has been worthless. Don't waste your money. The prescription oral medication you get at the vet has always worked almost 100% and I only switched to this topical because my youngest male develop a neurotic aversion to the smell or taste every month when it came time to take the bravecto. my other comment is after 40 years of different tick treatments I no longer trust any topical treatment and the only product I've had complete confidence in was the oral bravecto or the other brands that I know work just as well. I'm sorry I switched and I'm guessing I'm not getting any of the $80 back even though I only used half of the four treatments.I rarely, very rarely post negative reviews of products on Amazon especially on items that are inexpensive I'm very lenient in understanding that they may not be the same quality is more expensive brand name item. however, activate ll was not a bargain priced tick treatment for dogs. It's true for the same price as 3 months of bravecto I got 4 months of topical but $80 is not a cheap tick treatment.I started my mail in March when tick season just started up and I remember I found one or two ticks on him that I thought were dead or they weren't attached and I brushed it off as it might not have been fully in a system. But starting last week my wife started to fine many wood ticks in various places on his body. And like I said I've been doing this for decades so I know how to apply tick treatments and what to do and not to do for the first few days and I can just say now after spending the last 45 minutes pulling off four wood ticks and I spotted a deer tick but it got away and I'll have to go back . My wife also found at least half a dozen deer ticks and I have photos of all of these ticks in the ashtray where they met their end. I understand that I'm past. where I could return the product even though I still have another 2 months supply. But I thought that I could at least ask the distributor or Amazon a question about activate ll. for whatever reason I was not able to ask you question about this product. So while I don't like leaving completely negative reviews I'm going to say this product is completely worthless. we've already found over six deer ticks on him and two of those were attached although they weren't engorged yet. still they're small and they're easily could be one or more that we haven't found in his bushy coat. It's a miserable job for us and the poor guy hates being held down while we search for tiny ticks. This is why I gladly spend the premium price for bravecto and only switched because he became so averse to the smell or taste that he would get neurotic about it. So I would understand if the product activate too didn't work as well as bravecto but at this point I'm going to be sweating bullets when he goes in to the vet in 6 weeks and has to get a lyme test.So this would make the first time in a while that I read almost all positive reviews of a product and then found out that the product was so worthless that I'm very sorry I ever switched from the bravecto. I also know now that bravecto has a topical but it's not the same as the oral and when it comes to ticks the name of the game is to prevent deer ticks at all costs. So I'm feeling pretty bad that I spent the same amount of money and ended up with a bunch of deer ticks on my dog. And the dog ticks or wood ticks ? of course I don't like them but I could live with that because they're not spreading a major immunode disease. And I'm still hoping to hear from Amazon or the company even though they've made it very difficult for me to write them a question directly linked to my buying product. I'd be very curious to hear what a company right past the say about the photos, which I'm not posting right now but will if I need to of the dozen ticks in an ashtray, both wood and deer ticks. So, be warned. I'm very careful about ensuring my outdoor border collies are protected as much as possible. I'm Not pushing bravecto because I know there are at least two other products that work just as well. My vet happens to prescribe that though. I just don't see the point in selling and tick repellent that basically doesn't work at all. So I used it for March and then applied it at the end of April for a second treatment and as soon as that gives me the okay he's going to be taking the bravecto and I'll probably be out 75 or $80 did activate 2 cost. But if it saves somebody from having their dog test positive for Lyme's disease then it's worth it. And I'll say one more time I've been giving tick treatments to my dogs for 40 plus years and I know how it's applied and the things you can't do for the topical treatments until after a few days. I also remember about 10 years ago when the first wave of topical skin treatments started to become immune to the ticks. But I usually trust Amazon reviews and I did not see any of the dozens I read said this product didn't work. But I am here to testify that this product is worthless in repelling ticks and I'm just praying that the deer ticks that we pulled off of him didn't have a chance to infect him with Lyme's disease.
